1. Unit nurse staffing needs improvement for both patient and staff safety, and for adequate time to meet facility's expected goals from staff.2. Improvement much needed in Intake Department regarding communication, respect for nursing staff, and timely assessment input before patients are brought up to the units (including sending hospital documents, N2N, body check input, pertinent UDS results and pregnancy test results for walk-ins). Body checks are sometimes not done even when there's an Intake nurse. Also patients are brought up even during codes.3. There's a huge problem getting time off approvals. We almost always get denied time off and asked to look for coverage ourselves including the weekends when it is overstaffed. And most of the time the staff covering just end up being canceled.Management need to listen and address staff's input on staffing issues for patient and staff safety. We feel that staffing issue is the main reason for job dissatisfaction and the fast turnover of nursing staff. This also lessens and prevents errors in the nursing department.

Cover health insurance for all employees (not just nurses), complete system updates outside of normal business hours, enforce proper parking in the parking garageWe need better documentation for patient incidents (e.g. falls, fights) these events often go underreported with limited descriptions of the how/when/where these events took place and what, if any, injuries resulted.
