Post a memo when there’s changes with policy or the change in daily routine for the staffFor safety reasons, I don’t agree admitting a patient with a foley cath, oxygen , use of cane, walker if there’s no adequate staffs available to monitor these patients.Retraining of MHT on how to do proper VS, reporting to nurse if reading is low or high right after taking those VS for prompt attention & intervention.

On units 2B and 3B, the current staffing model of one nurse managing 18 patients is not sustainable given the high acuity levels. To ensure safe and effective patient care, each unit requires a minimum of two nurses and two technicians working together. The current staffing levels have led to significant staff burnout and a decline in the quality of patient care. Patients on these units require more individualized attention than one nurse can reasonably provide in a single shift. Responsibilities such as addressing patient needs, completing daily progress notes, managing the milieu, covering the desk and phone, administering medications, handling admissions and discharges, and coordinating with physicians and social workers cannot all be performed safely and effectively by one nurse. This staffing concern must be addressed to protect both patient safety and staff well-being. The ongoing strain is contributing to burnout, deteriorating mental health, and increased frustration among both nurses and technicians.

Establish a consistent and standardized quality procedures and process improvements, with the involvement of disciplinary action among staff, so that staff will be trained and disciplined in all aspects of hospital laws, rules and regulations. Some staff are already crossing overboard that they have the tendency to overpower the management, such as being non-compliant, rude, stubborn, not following rules and too mean to new ones. Other staff are indirectly manipulating the system because they set their own rules and not being law abiding employees (esp tenured ones)The hospital needs consistency and strict discipline in order to promote and implement quality standard services to all stakeholders, especially favoritism, special treatment, and discrimination. If for example you were demoted or transferred to a new job post, then you should be given what is right and acceptable based on your new position, so that employees will not see and say that you are given special assignment at all times (because people thinks you're friends).Otherwise, that will lose a huge employee trust and lack of confidence in organizational leadership resulting to failed employee engagement and support, apart from high staff resignation and turn-over rates. Sometimes, there are people who are being too bossy and don't want to accept defeat due to insecurity, jealousy and envy. They act as if they are junior bosses that results to unit conflict and over confidence. In order to gain people's respect, commitment, and support -- a fair, equal, just, consistent and process improvements should be implemented. These are the key strategies to achieve employee engagement resulting to synergy, commitment and quality standards to patient care, including business revenue and growth. It is with the right and appropriate people that an organization should invest because these people will be the foundation and arch of a good company that will provide optimum satisfaction with equal opportunities to the community.I just want to re-iterate my suggestion on the previous question, since I only have one comment that I believe somehow could help LBH.Establish a consistent and standardized quality procedures and process improvements, with the involvement of disciplinary action among staff, so that staff will be trained and disciplined in all aspects of hospital laws, rules and regulations. Some staff are already crossing overboard that they have the tendency to overpower the management, such as being non-compliant, rude, stubborn, not following rules and too mean to new ones.
