Staffing

Staff your nurses appropriately. It’s not my problem if someone calls in. Have people on call if needed. Partner with a staffing agency if you can’t retain enough staff. One nurse for more than 12 high acuity patients is just crazy. If you staffed appropriately and compensated salary accordingly, you would solve your ridiculous employee turnover rate. You’re not saving any money doing it your way.

When do HR get their work done. It's great that they doing events but how can they get work done?

Hearing today that Jill is now the new Leader for nursing department. How did LBH make this happen? Jill has a track history of being unprofessional and has her picks. We got rid of James to bring her in as the boss. This isn’t going to go well for our team, our peers, or for myself. I don’t know what else to say or so anymore. We nurses can’t continue to take upon a leader that we can’t trust or go too. Cindy what have you done to us for the nursing staff to continue to take this beating. Maybe we need to contact corporate and let them hear our concerns.

Melissa is one of the worst managers we have in the hospital. She tells staff she creates her own job description, she demands things to be done on her time. She isn’t approachable at all. I hear a lot of her staff in the department talk about her on how she micromanage them in their new office space. She really makes the environment at LBH unpleasant

Need to ensure that the new HR person keeps the same personality as Myron.
