Consistency, we start strong and drop off with certain things, initiatives, follow up, etc. I think that makes it hard to then keep up expectations for leaders and staff on the units.

Lake behavioral can approve in several areas. Let’s start with the treatment that patients are receiving, the treatment is not giving kindness, care, or support. Staff is treated very poorly. You must be in a certain department, group, or you have to know certain people for staff to even see you, speak to you, or even acknowledge you. Cindy doesn’t even speak when she sees staff. Little does she know the only reason that this place is up and running is because of the staff that’s under her. She needs to be more friendly and humble herself. She should show some kind of appreciation to her staff and she can start doing that by saying a simple “hi” or “good morning” the patients are treated like trash, this place reminds me of a jailhouse. You’d think they would have good professional help for mentally ill patients, but most of the times the patients are overlooked and not heard. This place is just pure trash. Management doesn’t know how to talk to staff, everyone is very much so unprofessional.

Workplace violence, professionalism, more structure with nurses and MHT. sexual harassment concerns, personal relationships impacting somes responsibilities. Stop allowing MHT to sit behind the nurses station (nurses allowing it) Respectful boundaries with patients. Nurses allowing techs on their unit, especially when they have personal relationships with them.Pay attention to the lack of boundaries from the nurses, it's not just your techs

Maintaining the immediate needs of the patients. Often times we run out of certain things that the patients request. I would like to just always be able to provide what they need when requested. We also need to address the Coffee Issue in the morning when staff are bickering about who's Coffee pot belongs where. I believe that each unit should be assigned new one's, where we are allowed to keep them on the units, and clean them every morning in staff breakroom sink. This would be to ensure that they don't get broken by staff who doesn't know how to handle them properly and etc. (Kitchen Staff included). I feel so strongly about this be the patients look forward to this daily and it is becoming a serious issue as a result.Staff meetings should allow a 15 mins window for the techs to speak freely about whatever current issues they may be having and needs to be resolved. Even if it's not addressed in the current meeting. As long as they are allowed the floor to do so possibly.

Not making it mandator or get written up for not doing a group that us MHTS don’t have a degree in. If so we should get a extra $2-$3 or bonus for that group.
