I came for the 3rd oil change on the prepaid package I bought last year. When I purchased the package, and again at my 2nd oil change I was assured that I had 18 months to use the oil changes. This was a material term of the agreement. Today I was told Toyota has changed their policy and now no longer allow a grace period and only honor prepaid oil changes for 12 months. I had to argue about this with my rep twice before he agreed Toyota would honor the deal. I appreciate the reps covering the service but I am concerned that Toyota thinks it can change the terms of a deal after the fact. The policy change should only be applied to packages purchased after the policy change, otherwise Toyota is subject to liability for breaching contracts where they told the customer it was an 18 month package.
