We took this apartment because we believed it was a luxury building and we were paying for that. We were told nothing about the apartment when we moved in December first. We found the aprtment completely unfinished. The laundry machines in the front closet don’t fit and there is no door. It’s is now a week and a half later and this has not been remedied. There is no ceiling in one of our bathrooms. Still not remedied. The marble footing at the front door is crushed. Still not remedied. The kitchen tiles were scratched when the dishwasher was installed. Still not remedied. The vanilla flooring was damaged in several places and although workers have been here off and on for several minutes at a time the floors are still not fixed. There is no toilet proper holder in one of the bathrooms. We have not been able to do laundry yet and having laundry machines in the apartment was a deal breaker for us. The thermostat makes a hissing sound this has not been remedied. The closet rods have not been properly secured and we can hardly hang our clothes in fear that the whole wall will collapse. Every apartment we visited in the building had a built in microwave. Since we moved in no microwave has been provided and we’ve been told it will have to sit on our counter which is unacceptable to us. The key provided for the mail box does not work and we have not been able to pick up our mail for a week and half. The management is well aware of all this since we have been very communicative. We would never have taken this apartment knowing what we know now.

Bonjour,1. Le déménagement : j’ai demandé par courriel des informations concernant le déménagement et in m’a répondu que j’aurais les informations le jour même. On ne m’a jamais mentionné que je devais réserver l’ascenseur et passer par la porte de côté.2. Plusieurs petits problèmes : ma porte de terrasse ne ferme pas donc l’air froid entre, porte de poste de ferme pas, petites choses que j’ai réparé moi-même, je n’ai pas de lumière dans la plus part des pièces, je vais devoir acheter des lumières moi-même.Si je n’avais pas tous ces problèmes j’aurais été très contente de mon aménagement.

Présent Conditions and rent increase for a non renovated apartment. The notice to the tribunal for the rental refusal was never filed by Minto manager. I was informed it was a misunderstanding.Inability to get cooperation from the 4300 Minto manager regarding improvements : when we signed the lease a 250$ monthly increase was added to the base rent so that the 1029 apartment would be equipped with a washer / dryer; new flooring in the kitchen and two bathrooms and new cupboards in the kitchen. The kitchen cupboards were installed without our input and they are an eyesore despite the fact that we were willing to meet anytime at the manager’s convenience.I have requested to transfer to a renovated apartment should the occasion arise and have contacted the rental agent regarding this matter.I have asked the rental agent to provide me with the monthly rent for a renovated two and three bedroom renovated apartment so that I can make a fair comparison but to date no response.My experience with MINTO to date has been negative unfortunately and I truly wish it were otherwise. I still sincerely believe an entente could be reached to benefit us both.

Je renouvellerais le bail. Cependant, Jo nous manque! Tous les travailleurs sont courtois et souriants. Hanoy est très serviable. Le gym est pratique et on s'y sent à l'aise. Nous apprécierions des petites améliorations régulières dans l'appartement de Thérèse. Nous espérons toujours ne plus voir de blattes. Nous sommes en général très satisfaites.Merci.Lucie et Thérèse #326
