I think there’s a communication gap. When my thermostat was having issues, it was over like 10 times since I moved here 5 months ago. Every time someone came, they say they “fixed” it… but all they were doing was charging it. So it keeps breaking down because there’s an issue with the battery. They also didn’t tell me WHAT they did, or HOW this fixed the problem. If they did it was rare and it seemed inauthentic and it was a simple text message like “everything is working now”. I would prefer an email in a more professional way, of what they really did, what is broken and how they are following up with a proper timeline. There was very little ever put in writing over what happened. That’s why I was repeatedly confused, they said they replaced every part and all that, but nothing changed. Someone else (Michael who is amazing) ended up taking a different plate from another unit and it worked PERFECTLY FINE. So I’m not sure that it was fully replaced, at all. The maintenance guys are nice, maybe they are too busy. Someone should be putting this all in writing though and addressing residents concerns. I was surprised none of the staff at the front office apologized for the inconvenience or confusion, I was not assured that this would be taken care of. Perhaps other staff members should help them out with communicating in writing if they are too busy fixing things. Not sure what their protocol is.
