In order to grasp how serious I am about this experience you should know that I have avoided the dentist for the last 10 years. I haven’t always been this way. I use to go every six months since I first developed teeth, had braces, have always maintained brushing and flossing, and take my daughter every six months. After I had my daughter ten years ago, my health plummeted and I fell into a dark place emotionally. The dark place does not reflect on the outside so it is often unknown unless you are my husband which means I am known as a happy person by most. Doctors, metal instruments of any kind often accompanied with the health field have become an intense trigger for me, and I have learned to live in a state of constant pain. I have recently decided to get out of the dark place and try to take back some control. As most have come to feel, the dental field can be a terrifying experience even without what I have shared and you can often be made to feel like a criminal for not flossing daily. Lifeway staff was not like that. They were kind and patient with me. I let them know up front that I would probably cry and I most definitely did. They didn’t question why I was crying which I was grateful for because where do I even begin? They didn’t judge me. They continued to work while also letting me know we could stop if I needed. They were friendly and beyond patient with me. I couldn’t talk and was less than outgoing because I was terrified but that didn’t stop them from making me feel welcome and a little less paralyzed in fear. I cannot accurately express how grateful I am to the ladies I encountered yesterday. Thank you for being kind, thank you for helping me fix my teeth, and thank you for making me feel safe while I was trying so hard to be brave.

The ladies who took care of me in the back were awesome. The lady who discussed billing was rude. The pricing in this location is extremely outrageous & I’m almost positive she doesn’t understand how to read insurance. I was scheduled for a cleaning and X-rays and somehow only received the exrays. I have a really bad tooth & they told me to take Tylenol for the pain which obviously isn’t working that’s why I was there
