Hi,I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding damage that occurred to my vehicle following a recent repair at your Lookers Deeside accident repair.On the recommendation of the Kia dealership in Chester, I visited your centre to replace the shield panel located below the windscreen. After showing the sales representative at Kia the issue, he identified the part and advised me to have it replaced at your site, which I did.The part has arrived and the work was completed, and I took the car home the same day. However, the following day I noticed a crack developing in the windscreen — a stress crack that has since grown. I promptly returned to your branch to report the issue, but I was advised that nothing could be done and that I should claim the damage on my insurance.I must emphasise that this damage was not present before your team replaced the panel and appeared immediately after the repair. It is therefore reasonable to conclude that the damage is related to the work carried out. As such, I believe Lookers should take responsibility for inspecting and resolving this issue, including the cost of replacing the windscreen if necessary.I would appreciate your urgent review of this matter and a written response explaining how you intend to resolve it.
