Very frustrating when trying to book a slot. Your staff are very good but overworked at busy times, the call centre is based nowhere near the dealership with no local knowledge. Please help them to resolve this issue by implying more staff!

The dealership themselves are 5 stars - the "Lookers" experience is the car supermarket experience you expect from a "Lookers" but falls far short of what it used to be to deal with Knights as a more "premium" car dealer. It started with a fault with the grills (On a less than 2 year old 40k car, not great but these things can happen I guess) I phoned the dealer where unfortunately you get diverted to a call centre which I guess is the same call centre if I'm calling for Lookers Dacia.I explained the fault with the active grill (one was stuck open the other closed), couldn't book it in with a courtesy car for months but I can get a taxi, I explained I work in Birmingham, which due to being a central call centre nowhere near here meant nothing to them but I hugely doubt if i'd asked the dealer to book me a taxi to work 50 miles / 1 hour 10mins away they'd be happy about it, and then again to take me to pick it up - If i'd of spoken to the dealer like I phoned that misunderstanding doesn't happen. So i'm told nothing they can do.I then ask for a Saturday so i'm not at work, cant do that as it needs investigation. So then I ask what my options are short of just leaving it and if it overheats and damages the car just let BMW know that Lookers had no convenient way of getting it fixed? To which they said they can get it fixed just not with a car, option to get me to work or a weekend when i'm not at work. (Obviously it didnt happen but i'm fairly sure the dealer would of been able to work me something out with the use of a staff car/trade in/forecourt car for 1 day etc - they've always been able to sort it in the past).I then said about dropping it out of hours - but that wasn't a option either. They then suggested sending out BMW roadside assist to the car? - I questioned them sending BMW assist for breakdowns out to a stuck grill, I cant imagine there's anything they can do on my drive or works car park with that... So at this point I just gave up with the call and Saturday morning took time to drive down to the dealer to just speak to them directly. Booked it in for a day when I was off work that was convenient - simply and easy.Dropped it off in the morning - there was a bit of a wait like they'd asked for all cars to be dropped in at 9am and seemed a bit short staffed in the service bit but the people working were all friendly, professional and apologised for the wait. The only negative I have for the dealer is it was me that day at around 17:05 ringing them for a update as i'd heard nothing from them. They explained the car was in workshop and they'd removed the bumper and ordered parts and it'd be ready the following day.The other fault the vehicle was in with was a rattle when going over bumps, dealer rang me around 2pm and said car was done, fixed and the rattle after stripping down had turned out to be a non warranty fault. After a conversation about the fact i'd not been told about any cost, the car had been in for 2 days and my frustration at the whole lookers experience so far they sorted a manager/dealer discount on this to just cover a hours labour cost of the work done which seemed fair to me as I could see from the mybmw app the car had been done and parked round the front for a few hours.Collected the car and all fine and work all done successfully. To summariseThe physical dealership/service department and particularly Shaun get the 5 stars - they were great once again and the reason i've had a couple of cars from them and would buy from there again (as long as the car going wrong after less than 2 years isnt a sign of things to come from BMW! :) )The booking in and "Lookers" experience needs to improve to the levels that knights once offered. My previous car was a Skoda Karoq which I had for about 2.5years and I have to say that was a overall better experience so far.ThanksLee

I purchased a used BMW 5 series recently. The salesperson Rebecca Moreton was very professional, polite and informative. She offered good advice and it was a pleasure to do business with her. After picking my car up I noticed the engine management light had come on and there was a slight blemish on the paintwork. I spoke to Rebecca and she had no problem booking my car in to get it sorted, so thanks Bec ! Thanks also to Jordan in the service department who ensured I was happy with the work done, so your after service was excellent for me.Thanks Tim Middleton.
