Dear Lookers Ford Chelmsford,I am writing to formally reject the Ford Kuga (registration EO21XBC) under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.On 15 April 2026, the vehicle suffered a complete and sudden electrical failure while driving, resulting in an immediate loss of all power, including steering assistance, braking assistance, dashboard functions, and lighting. This created a dangerous situation on the road and left the vehicle undriveable, with the RAC having to attended. I am extremely relieved that my young child was not in the car at the time as this situation was absolutely terrifying- and thankfully due to be early morning there was not many other cars on the road.I would also like to note that the vehicle has previously experienced electrical/media screen issues which required attention from Ford. I believe these problems may be connected and indicate an underlying electrical fault.A failure of this nature is a serious safety‑critical defect. It renders the vehicle not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, and not durable, as required under the Consumer Rights Act. Given the severity of the failure and the associated safety risk, I am exercising my legal right to reject the vehicle.I request that Lookers:1. Arrange immediate recovery of the vehicle, as it is unsafe to drive.2. Provide a courtesy car without delay, as I am now without transport due to this failure.3. Confirm the process for returning the vehicle and unwinding the agreement, including refund arrangements.I expect written confirmation of this rejection and the next steps as soon as possible.Thank you,Steph Brotherton

You didn’t do very well at all.I am extremely disappointed.The rattle noise is still there and the main beam will not go off when the lights are on auto.Both jobs paid for under warranty but the work hasn’t been done!!Angela VaughanSent from my iPad

Have emailed the chelmsford sales person direct with no response with the following complaintsCar not serviced or valeted prior to collection this was promised. Break dust on tyres and breaks make a grinding sound. No paperwork available for steering part changed...would request these issues be resolved ASAP and a call From the salesperson in response to emails please

Danny Batchelor was amazing! Very professional, friendly and really took the time to listen what I was looking for.Less than 6 days after turning up unannounced to look at cars, he arranged a test drive straightaway and the car is polished and sat on my driveway.Fantastic experience and as a woman on her own, it was nice to be treated with respect rather than being talked down to.Throughly recommend Lookers and especially Danny.

I have received text messages and phone calls from multiple Lookers centres regarding vehicles despite never having been to one of your sites or giving you my details. Please delete my details and stop contacting me!

Not good deals for a car

I sent a reply email to Andrew Singleton expressing my interest in a Ford Kuga. I also explained that I have a Ford Edge Vignale which I would look to part exchange. I received no reply. I then sent another email expressing my disappointment that I had no response or acknowledgement.

Had great service at first but put my onto another dealer saying I will hear from them and not heard anything back been 4 days since
