First time I visited I had an appointment, wandered around for half an hour as no one was on the front desk and when I or my wife stood there no one came to see us.After that everyone was very pleasant, welcoming and helpful but the car wasn’t for me.

You invited me to raise a complaint after I completed a Trustpilot review you requested. That text was as follows:Feel I have been defrauded [again]. Have a service plan that clearly states two full services with MOT's. After it was booked in I discovered from the My Ford website that my vehicle has a 2 year service period so they decided on the day it only required an MOT and a visual check [most of which I routinely do myself anyway] that, I was told, cost £154. They seem to just do whatever they want to regardless of the contractual documents that so far has cost me £380 with another £300 still owing.Last year my other vehicle, also on a service plan, was booked in for a "while you wait" service, MOT and additional brake fluid change [extra cost]. When I picked it up it allegedly had the wrong service done and I was not given the paperwork listed on the invoice. Drove home to find the Low Brake Fluid warning came up and having crawled under the vehicle [correctly it turns out] came to the conclusion they had not properly refilled the reservoir. Further inspection also revealed the engine oil had not been changed confirming that I had sat in reception for 2 hours whilst no service work was carried out. Back 4 weeks later [the earliest available], I got a frosty reception, was blatantly lied to, handed false documentation and a serious problem with the front brakes was concealed. This time I did not even get out of their car park as the engine management light was on because they had left a sensor disconnected. At home discovered they had only changed the air filter [their idea of a full service], not the spark plugs [records showed these had not been changed for 6 years] or the pollen filter as they had told me. Had to return a 3rd time to finally have the work completed.Waste of time complaining, I did not receive one single explanation from Lookers, or the missing paperwork and Ford are not interested as Lookers are a franchise which is interesting as it makes a mockery of their advertising statements. My advice, do not trust them and also check the paperwork very carefully. It is very simple, you have taken money for, but not complied with the complied with the contractual document providing a service that is a fraction of the cost and I consider that fraud.I have visited the My Ford website and now know that my Fiesta has a 2 year service interval so never did require a full service and I know exactly what to expect for the full [90000 mile] service that I have paid for. At the time of taking out the plan the salesman told me it was a good idea to have the oil changed yearly but made no mention of the 2 year service interval else I would not have taken the plan out. I thought there were legal systems in place to prevent this sort of underhand treatment that I need to investigate as this is totally unacceptable., This seems to me to be theft and is the second time you have been caught out from the Trustpilot review above and something you are already fully aware of.

Never spoke with Emma Glazier before but she couldn’t have been more accommodating, excellent customer service. Thanks Emma

I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding a vehicle I purchased from Lookers Colchester on 13 May 2026 (registration: EJ74AHO).Since purchasing the vehicle, I discovered that the keyless entry system was faulty. After identifying the issue, I took the vehicle to my local Lookers dealership in Braintree, who have been assisting with investigating and resolving the fault.I would like to make it clear that the team at Lookers Braintree have been excellent throughout this process. They have been professional, helpful, and proactive in their efforts to diagnose and rectify the issue. My concerns are as follows:* The vehicle was sold to me with keyless entry as a premium feature, yet I was not informed of any fault with this system at the time of purchase.* The vehicle had to be returned to the dealership on four separate occasions before the issue was resolved. This feature had been inoperative since the day I purchased the vehicle. As keyless entry formed part of the vehicle’s specification and was one of the features I paid for, I am extremely disappointed that it was not functioning correctly when the vehicle was supplied to me.This issue is particularly concerning because it relates directly to the security of the vehicle. Given the prevalence of vehicle theft, especially involving vehicles equipped with keyless entry systems, it has been very unsettling to own a vehicle with a known security-related fault. In addition, I was concerned that, had the vehicle been stolen, the existence of a known security fault could potentially have complicated or affected any insurance claim.I have deliberately waited until the fault had been resolved before submitting this complaint, as I did not want to do anything that might delay the repair process. However, now that the matter has been resolved (as of yesterday) I feel it is important to formally raise my concerns.I have been a loyal Ford customer for many years and have owned Ford vehicles exclusively, purchased from Lookers. I have always got my servicing and MOT completed at Lookers. My experiences have always been positive, which is why I have regularly made recommendations to friends and family. This experience, however, has fallen well below the standard of quality and customer service I have come to expect.Given the circumstances, I would appreciate knowing what Colchester Lookers intends to do to address this matter and restore my confidence as a customer.I look forward to receiving your response at your earliest convenience.

Lack of communication during my Van service.Excess waiting time for part to arrive and be fitted.Air conditioning service not provided when I requested it.Oil service warning on van a week after being dine

We waited for over 20 minutes to even be acknowledged by a sales representative. When we did ask to look at the car, it wasn’t tread for a test drive, which he didn’t say from the beginning, and when I want to cash buy, there was no negotiation on price so we walked away. A waste of my time.
