I bought a used car from Ford last month, I knew the handbrake was loose and after two weeks it went into Ford for them to tighten it. I got a phone call telling me the handbrake is actually faulty. Then I noticed they had not stamped the service book with the service that was supposedly done before I got the car. A friend got a brand new car sorted at Ford last week so I went in to see the guy she saw. His name was Leo and he was so lovely. I wanted to see if I traded my car in would I be able to get a new one like my friend. He tried his best but the figures didn’t work out. My friend will pay 200 a month for a brand new car but I pay 260 for a 2018 car that was sold To me with a faulty handbrake. It’s so very frustrating. I so so wish that when I went to the used car bit they would have been more transparent with me and tell me that I would have got a better deal at the new car site. I feel if I had gone to see Leo first he would have been honest. I understand the sales men at the used car bit are doing their job and need the sale but because of their work ethic and dynamics I feel I have missed out. It’s such a shame that this has happened. I came to Ford from having a bad experience elsewhere and since I live quite close I thought it would be ideal. Leo did say for me to go back in a few months to see then but nobody can guarantee that the inflated price for used cars will still be around then. I never for a minute thought I would be able to buy a brand new car, hence why I went to the used section.

Mechanic came out to see me about a particular aspect I had raised, which I thought was an excellent touch!

Asked about a service plan and was promised a quote would be emailed to me but as yet this hasn’t happened.

I spoke with Taz at Lookers in Leeds. He was very personable, professional and worked well to try and fine a suitable vehicle.

I thought that Lookers could have given at least a tank of fuel - 1/4 tank a little tight only just got back to Harrogate !
