Sadly nobody offers or suggests a test drive anymore I know it's quite labour intense I've enquired at your middlesbrough and south shields branches about changing to hybrid but never any suggestions of a test drive

Turned up for a test drive of an EV. It’s had 10% charge and I was only permitted to drive it for 5 minutes. Couldn’t get any feel for the car during this short time travelling at 30mph throughout Also had a quite obvious and poor smart repair which was not told about before hand.

To Whom it may Concern,My name is Mr Sabir Shah and I purchased a car from your South Shields branch Gateshead. The car being sold was a Mercedes V Class reg KT23 JYP and the price was £45,999 as you can see a high price car. On receiving a video presentation of the car the salesperson said the car had a couple of chips on the boot which would be taken care of.As I live in London it was agreed that the car would be delivered to me. The driver came and dropped the car off and very hastily left taking my car old car in part exchange. On closer inspection of the car I noticed a large noise coming from the brakes every time I used them. I also noticed white paint speckles on the back of the back seats and also in the interior of the rubber seals. There is unsatisfactory paintwork on the side panel and the bonnet of the car and also a cup holder missing from inside the car.I explained all this to the salesperson at South Shields who apologised. Had I known of all these faults I would not have purchased the car. The car was filthy when delivered and quite frankly I was shocked. The whole point of buying a car from a dealership is to avoid all these issues.I was very concerned with the noise of the brakes and I had the car MOT again and found faults that were not detected from your company’s MOT that was done a few days prior. I was flabbergasted. Not only have you sold me a high price car with issues the MOT you gave me was not correct.I have contacted the branch several times and I leave messages for them to call me and they never do I have to chase them up.Your sales manager at South Shields said they would rectify the faults and offered me £500 for the other repairs. I explained this is not good enough he then offered £750.I explained to him that with all these faults the car should not have been sold for £46,000I told him my offer would be £2000 off the car and my deposit back which was a further £2000 so in total £4000 which I think is very reasonable as well as the repairs done and he said his final offer was £750.I showed the car to people in the motor trade and they said you should report the company to DVSA and the various car industry bodies as it is inexcusable to sell a high priced car with all these faults especially from a high end dealership. I was also told to contact my local MP so that he can raise issues in relation to the selling of cars.If you agree to do the repairs and reimburse me £4000 we could reach some sort of agreement. Frankly speaking the £750 that was offered to me is not nearly worth it.With all the issues on the car it should have been sold for far less than the asking price. Furthermore I was promised fully service history with the car which I also have not received which makes me even more suspicious. The whole thing has been very stressful for me going backwards and forwards with your South Shields team and I am getting nowhere with them. Your company is meant to set high standards which have fallen well below. The whole point of a big dealership is peace of mind that you have sold a member of the public a safe drivable car. What difference is there between you and a back street dealership. I’m not happy at all until we can come to some sort of resolution. I look forward to hearing from you in the next few days.Yours sincerelySabir Shah

I wasn't offered to test drive the Ford Fiesta ST3, plus so much dithering and movements from one place to another to get the answer towards the offer for my part exchange vehicle.
