Sales man was very pleasant and helpful

Had my vehicle in for repairs in March 2025The problem was solved but I raised concerns at the time about how my vehicle was left and now less than a year later I have the same issue but was told they can’t even look at my vehicle for 6 weeks this vehicle is one I use for work with it off the road I’m losing money and they just didn’t want to do anything to help even telling me if I wanted it looked at faster go to another garage. I have booked it in somewhere else now as I need the vehicle for work so first off I want to complain about how unhelpful this branch was and secondly find out what happens if this garage finds it to be something that was change or tampered with whilst lookers Ford South Shields were doing there’s tests to find the issue will I be compensated for the loss of earnings from not having use of my vehicle and will they reimburse me as I will have to pay the excess on my warranty or maybe more as in the course of what lookers Ford South Shields did the had cut open the protective cover on my wiring harness then they taped it back up so if that’s is the issue my warranty might not cover this hope to hear back soon

Everything I wanted to happen during my enquiry regarding the vehicle of my choice did.

My car was in on 19/02/2026 for investigations. I was handed my car back the same day with various issues. I was told they would send the information straight off to the warranty company and should hear back the following Monday. My partner chased this up and was told they were still waiting to hear from the warranty company. I chased this up again on the 25/02/2026 and was told the same thing, however after contacting the warranty company due to poor communication from the garage, I have now been told the garage didn’t actually contact them to put the claim in until the 25/02/2026 after my phone call to the garage for an update. The warranty company stated they replied on the 26/2/2026. I then heard no further updates from the garage so I contacted them again on 02/03/2026 and was told they were again still waiting for a further reply from the warranty company. Again since I contacted the warranty company I have now been told the garage again didn’t actually contact the warranty company until after our phone call to which the warranty company responded straight away. Now I understand I am not the only customer the dealership are dealing with, however, I have never had this issue with the garage before they have always sent the information to the warranty company straight away and been back in touch very promptly. In this instance nothing has been done at all until I have rang up for updates. My partner was also hung up on when asking for the warranty’s contact number. Again I understand I am not the only customer however I feel this has been handled wrong and completely different to how it has been dealt with in the past. Usually the garage will arrange for my car to come in with a courtesy car as due to my partner and daughter having disabilities we need a car, they will then do their investigations, wait for the warranty to come back, carry out the repairs and then give my my car back. This time I had to wait over a month for an appointment for them to investigate and then was given my car back the same day and told I’d have to wait until the warranty to come back and then book another appointment in, now they haven’t booked my car in until 30/03/2026. This is unacceptable especially given what is wrong with my car hence my urgency and complaint. I have spoken to another garage and some of the things that ford lookers have flagged up as issues on my car, if left, could cause severe very expensive further damage. Like I said previously this is not how I have been dealt with in the past they get my car in, wait for the warranty and then fix it and then give me my car back, this time this has not been the case and I am just wondering why and where this leaves me in regards to the car because I am now having to wait another month just for them to take further photos of the issues for the warranty company and I don’t feel like my car will last that long and if there’s further damage in the mean time due to them giving me my car back and then having to wait another 6 weeks before they can get it back in I should not be liable for that damage. Having a short fleet of courtesy cars is no excuse as they should have at least kept my car until they had taken the photos for the warranty company.

Morning - This isn't a complaint - but your refunds e-mail isn't working - Please can you arrange a refund for the £250 deposit I paid for YW72DTU, which purchase I did not complete on and have cancelled.The car was at Lookers Ford South ShieldsI can't use the phone during business hours - so please - e-mail only - don't call me as I won't be able to answer - sorry!

When I came to the sales office it appeared everyone was too busy to attend to me.

Excellent service.Waited for work to be done.Lady on desk was spot on asking if I wanted coffee and updating on progressOnly issue was the car was washed but poorly.Suds left to dry.had to wash when got home.

Paid for car in full only to discover from your sales person that the car had not been inspected properly and should not have been sold to us. It then took over a week to return funds despite assurances from your sales team that it would be returned immediately. Thoroughly disappointing experience.
