Good afternoon,Is someone able to get back to me regarding the below email trail as we are concerned of the miles past the required service date and we don’t want it to be out of warranty.Kind regardsLaurenBegin forwarded message:From: Lauren CurryDate: 7 April 2026 at 17:25:39 BSTTo: Louis DelveSubject: Re: DC22 HMKHi Louis,We are really concerned that our car is beeping at us for a service and I don’t want it to fall out of warranty. At the time of the sale, we were quoted £200-£300 max and that it would be an interim service next year. We relied on this information when budgeting for the vehicle’s ongoing maintenance. Now that we have been advised that the service is a full service due at £600, this is a substantial discrepancy from the advice we were given. This is a misrepresentation at the point of sale as the information provided was inaccurate and influenced our purchasing decision.Under the consumer rights act 2015, goods and services must be as described and customers are entitled to rely on the representations made by the seller.Given the above, we request that lookers contribute to the additional cost of the service to reflect the inaccurate advice provided at the time of purchasePlease can this be looked at urgently as it’s been 5 days since I last sent my email?Kind regardsLaurenOn 2 Apr 2026, at 09:29, Lauren Currywrote:Hi Louis,We were not offered a service plan at any point when we purchased the car though? Also, you told us in person and via email that the service was an interim that is required next, at the price of around £200 ish. What we have been quoted is nearly £600 for a full service. This is not what we were told when we purchased the car? And would have come into our decision making when purchasing this specific car if we knew that. Can this please be escalated as we were not told the correct pricing, nor were we told what type of service the car required?Kind regardsLaurenOn 2 Apr 2026, at 09:05, Louis Delvewrote:Hi Lauren,At the time of order that was what I believe the pricing was going off what our service team told myself, however, I know there has been pricing increases this year so potentially that is something to do with it. The sales department only has influence over service plans that are set up on purchase so unless you have an active one of those there isn't much I can do to bring that price down as the service department is separate from ourselves.Louis DelveSales ExecutiveLookers Kia Chester302 Sealand Road | Chester | CH1 4LQT: 01244 394 325lookers.co.uk/kia________________________________________From: Lauren CurrySent: Tuesday, March 31, 2026 6:52 PMTo: Louis DelveSubject: Re: DC22 HMKExternal Sender: Confirm legitimacy before acting.Hi Louis,Are you able to get back to me?Kind regardsLauren>> On 30 Mar 2026, at 12:17, Lauren Currywrote:>> Hi Louis,>> We just went to book our service in and they’ve quoted £596. writing to raise a formal complaint regarding the car care plan / warranty policy I purchased when buying my vehicle from yourselves.Vehicle details:Registration: DF19MRXVehicle: 2019 plate KiaDate of purchase: November 2024At the time of sale, I was advised that the manufacturer warranty provided by Kia Corporation would be invalid unless the vehicle had been serviced exclusively by Kia. Based on this information, I was persuaded to purchase an additional car care plan / warranty policy.I have since established that this information was incorrect. Kia’s 7-year warranty remains valid provided the vehicle has been serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s schedule, using the correct specification parts and fluids, and with proper documentation regardless of whether servicing is carried out by a Kia dealership. When I purchased the vehicle I was informed that the previous owner did not have the most recent service carried out by Kia prior to my purchase. However, this does not automatically invalidate the manufacturer warranty, provided the servicing meets Kia’s required standards. This confirms that I was misinformed at the point of sale and led to believe that the manufacturer warranty was not valid, which directly influenced my decision to purchase the additional policy. On this basis, I believe the car care plan / warranty policy was mis-sold to me.I therefore request:- A full refund of the policy- Written confirmation of your positionPlease treat this as a formal complaint and respond within 14 days. If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will escalate this matter to the Motor Ombudsman and/or the Financial Ombudsman Service.I look forward to your prompt response.

Poor communication. Asked about different specifications and told they’re just different. On return from the test drive, didn’t get acknowledged by any staff members so put keys on desk.

I bought a Kia picanto last year, and about a few days into having it the clutch kept jugging in first gear, I phoned up to have it checked over as still in warranty, had to wait months and then finally after having it checked, they said there was nothing wrong with it, and that it was the characteristics of the car, then a few back I broke down right by a roundabout as my clutch had completely burnt out, and I had my autistic daughter with me who doesn’t do well with waiting and we were on our way to school, tried to get in contact with Kia as the rac said my warranty didn’t start until April which I thought it started straight away with them, I had to pay 680 pounds for a new clutch which was already on its way out not caused by me as I raised these concerns straight away, Kia fobbed me off if they had told me my clutch was honing to go at least tell me and not lie, instead of causing stress to my daughter and myself, I’m hoping I can be reimbursed for the money I had to pay as it’s very unfair I was sold a faulty car and had to pay for damage that wasn’t caused by me

Came for a booked test drive. Vehicle could not go out due to one failed brake light bulb. Garage too busy to fix it. No date could be given for when it could be fixed. Pathetic. I needed to buy this week. Went elsewhere. The forecourt was horrendously congested. Had to manoeuvre a brand new hire car, very nervously, to park up and leave. Made to feel a nuisance.

Very good attentive service from Sebastian. Delighted with our new Kia Sportage.
