When my wife and I initially viewed the car on 30 December we were unable to road test it as it had a flat battery. As the P/ex offer on our 2011 Mazda 2 was less than we had hoped for we decided to defer purchase and sell our it first.Having agreed a sale of the Mazda to a motor trader in Stockport - for approximately £1000-00 more than you offered - we visited on Tuesday 4 January to test drive the Kia.The battery was still flat and had to be jump started in order that we could test drive it. Having done so, we agreed to buy it but stated that we had some concerns that the battery may need replacement. On Thursday 6 January we collected the car. We were assured that the battery had been on charge and drove it home to Bury - a distance of approximately 20 miles. The weather was awful and we had to use lights, wipers, aircon etc., during the journey. However, this should not drain the battery unduly if the alternator is working O.K.On Friday 7 January we did not use the car and it was parked on the road outside our house. On Saturday 8 January the car would not start and I had to use jump leads to move it into mydriveway. I then connected my battery charger/conditioner and proceeded to charge the battery. I contacted yourselves and was asked to bring the car to Stockport on Monday. On Monday 10 January instead of undertaking a 40 mile return trip to Stockport I decided to visit Delta batteries in Bury from whom I had recently purchased a battery for the Mazda 2. They advised that the CCA was fine but the voltage was less than it should be. It was recommended that I should do a reconditioning charge which I duly did.The Kia has started and run O.K. since and I connected my charging device yesterday and, whilst the battery was not fully charged, it was more than adequately charged to start thecar.I think that there should have been an offer to explain the controls of the Kia before our test drive or prior to handover. I own a Mazda MX-5 and a Skoda Yeti as well but my wife doesn't drive these, Whilst there are many similarities between cars these days, there are technical features on some cars which differ from make to make. There are features on this 2018 Kia which differ from the Mazda 2 as the Kia is several years newer and we are still in the process of familiarising ourselves with these. As I mentioned I have been a - long-suffering! - Lookers shareholder for some time.

car should have been checked. tyre pressures should have been 34 psi not 41 psi nsf, 33 osf, 31 osr, 32 nsr. also black cars should be polished appropriately otherwise white lines in small scratches and black plastic appears grey.
