I will be interested to see if you contact me I found after delivery of the vehicle that one or more of the speakers did not work, not much of a PDI. I took the vehicle back was dealt with properly by Ian , then contacted the following day to book in they told me they needed the vehicle for two days for a speaker!! the best they could do was a month later !!! On checking the date I found it was a Bank Holiday I contacted you again to tell them the date was wrong they said they could move forward the date but they could not lend me a car on either date , I have just spent 70k ish on another vehicle and I am already with out a car for two days. My self and business partner have purchased from your dealership for 40 years a lot of vehicles from you will still run 7 or 8 vehicles. The last two where purchased from another dealer out side your group we thought we would try you again on this Discovery !!!!

My impression of Lookers is that the sales team were likeable, knowledgeable and helpful, but were also incredibly busy. Sometimes responses to emails were very late at night, showing that the dealers probably didn't have enough hours in the day to keep customers informed all the time. And sometimes it took several days for email responses to land (albeit to be fair to Lookers, I didn't appreciate that their working weeks are not a standard Mon-Fri). On the whole, I thought my dealer did a great job, particularly during the global pandemic, because I couldn't meet him in person. On the Defender forums, other JLR customers were having slightly different experiences to me, with welcome emails from Gerry etc. But I never had any formal correspondence from JLR until just before I received my vehicle. Nevertheless my experience of Lookers was positive. I had last minute changes to my order which were accommodated and this included a first class paint job from their preferred body-shop (paining my bumpers black). I would personally like to thank Ian Newell for being an excellent dealer (striking the right balance between sales, enthusiasm, knowledge and helpfulness). Ian even managed to change my mind on some of the options by recording videos of other vehicles. One example was the jump seat, which I was going to order, but realised it wouldn't quite meet my needs. The body shop work, accessories and delivery were all handled very well by Ian, and signing the electronic documents were simple and easy to understand. My one or two (minor) gripes are pretty basic, but I offer them up to help Lookers: 1) I never knew the cut-off date for 'final changes' so I missed out on the off-road pack (which I think I would have gone for in the end) 2) I ordered some minor accessories post order - e.g. car mats, side steps, cross bars etc. - and despite ordering all of these items together there was no chance of any discount - despite many of my fellow JLR buyers getting items like rubber mats etc. thrown in for nothing (although this may have been because I had gone through Drive the Deal - which had already provided a small discount on the purchase price of the vehicle). 3) the car was delivered on a trailer at no extra charge (which was great) and the guy gave me the keys and left quite quickly - this wasn't a problem, because I had test driven a Defender and didn't really need introducing to its functions / controls etc. But for future deliveries like this, Lookers should consider a single page crib sheet of 'key aspects of the controls' - even if it largely just refers to the handbook. - this would have improved the remote handing over of the vehicle. The key rings provided by Lookers were quite nice.) Overall my experience with Lookers was very positive. I would definitely recommend them. Ideally they would be my local dealer as I liked Ian and would happily give him more of my business.

The sales team were first class. I could not fault Denis at all. However the were two issues when we picked the car up. 1. The was no water in any of the washers so we drove home with a smudged screen. Not good when spending £44k and secondly the summer coolant level was at the minimum reading. This means I need to buy a bottle of coolant from Landrover when I should not have to. Noting the car was not checked enough before it went out. Regards Rob and Lesley

We love our new car! Many thanks to Ben Olma for all his help in making this purchase. Such a simple, quick and easy procedure to complete all paperwork and sort out any issues arising. Three days from when we viewed it until we were on the road. Highly recommend this seamless service. 5 stars.
