I have been driving since 1972 and have bought and owned many cars. Some of them 'Bangers' some Prestige Cars and many in between. Therefore I have dealt with a great number of salespersons and dealers over the years! Some of them have been high pressure (full of patter) people, which immediately puts me off and I invariably walk away from this type of person, sale lost!! Then there are the likeable types who come across as genuine and down to earth. The sort of person I prefer to deal with. After all its my money and I can choose who I want to give it to! My number one salesman will always be Brian Stanners who was the former owner of Formula One Lotus in Newcastle. I got to know him well and consequently bought three Lotus Elises from him. In return, when I needed a prestige car for my daughters wedding, I asked Brian if he knew of any and he told me that I did not need to hire one as he would lend me any car from his stock on the day. The car he loaned me on the day was a top spec Mercedes. And he even sent someone to collect it after the wedding. That's why nobody else can beat Brian! But anyway, back to the survey. I can say hand on heart that the experience I had with Lookers has been a very good one and that has been down to the excellent service I have had all the way through my purchase. Out of the dozens of salespersons I have met, I can honestly say that Abie Chipchase is in my top handful. She is the most down to earth friendly person and almost made me feel like 'family'. I can say she has exceeded my expectations by quite a margin and I would say she is a great credit to your sales team. Keep up the good work Abie.
