When deciding to get my new Motability vehicle i went to the showroom to look at the 7 seater X-Trail E power. Part of my requirements was a large boot area to accommodate my mobility scooter and my dog with the seats down and the largest boot area with seats up to accommodate 4 large suitcases. I was told that the boot space was the same size in the 5 seater as in the 7 seater. I took there word for it and decided to get a 5 seater. My other requirements were, 1 it must have off road capability and hill decent. The car i was advised to get was the twin electric. I got the car on the 17th of April and in my ignorance of any knowledge other than what I was told I was happy with the car. Not long after I got the car I had cause to use the hill decent which did not work. I booked the care in to have the hill decent fixed and when I got the call to pick it up I was told it was working. This turned out to be incorrect the hill decent does not work.Now I start to question my choice of the car. This has been highlighted even more by what I have just learnt with a hire car I have had for a week.1, the 7 seater does have a bigger boot space as the seats can be moved forward enlarging to over all area. I was not told this, had I have been advised of this i would have gone for the 7 seater NOT the 5 seater.2, Also the hire car I've had for the week shows Off Road when selected by the dial where as mine does not. So now I see why my hill decent isn't working.If these 2 points are correct I am extremely angry because I'm stuck with a car I do not want. Add these points to the way I was pushed to purchase the model I have now got I want to speak to a manager and get this resolved otherwise I will be forced to take this further.
