The problem with my car originated on 29th March and a new steering column was fitted on the 7th April. The same problem occurred on 14th April! Unfortunately due to the Easter Bank Holiday the car could not be assessed until !9th April, when the same problem was diagnosed on the New steering column! No replacement was available and due to problems with a change to stock numbers and delays in getting parts from Europe meant that the new part did not arrive in the U.K.30th April, just in time for another Bank Holiday! The car was booked in for 7th June and the work was carried out and the car returned to me on 8th. While the I was assured that the problem did not stop me driving the car, the noise generatedwas unpleasant and scary, it therefore made me dislike driving and have missed many trips out since this began .Since April, Damien the Service Manager has kept me updated with progress although I always had to make the first call to ask what progress had been made. Hopefully everything is now sorted and I can enjoy driving once more.
