Having just had a very poor experience with another (not Lookers) dealership which resulted in them taking the car back, I have been somewhat anxious about purchasing a new car. I saw the vehicle on the afternoon of 29th November 2022 on the website and made an online enquiry. I was called within the hour by a customer service representative who arranged for the local dealership to produce a video walkthrough of the vehicle. This arrived within a couple of hours and was very comprehensive, was very detailed and went through the car and it's service history. I've not seen this service offered before and was very impressed with the amount of information I received from Ian Owens who made the video. Ian provided a telephone number and I was able to call him for additional information I wanted about the vehicle. Ian was able to answer all my questions including going into the service office to answer more technical/mechanical questions. Ian arranged the test drive for that same day. I was able to have a good look round the vehicle and take it for a test drive. Ian was very patient and helpful throughout. We negotiated a suitable deal with both him and the manager and I was very happy with the deal I got on the car. The car needed an MOT which Ian was able to arrange for the next day which was again excellent service and also reassuring given the bad experience I'd had elsewhere. Ian had the car ready when he said it would be which was brilliant. Throughout the whole transaction I felt I was treated with care, consideration and respect and he really is a credit to Lookers group. I did not feel pressurised into anything but felt like a valued customer. There are a couple of issues which need to be resolved with the car but the parts have been ordered and I have no doubt at this stage that this will be remedied with the same care, professionalism and timeliness as the rest of the transaction. Ian explained the finance options clearly and coherently although I paid cash. The whole transaction was completed within 24hrs and I have walked away a happy customer. I have not purchased a vehicle with Lookers before but would have no hesitation in recommending them to friends/family. I am happy for this feedback to be shared with the dealership and in particular Ian Owens. Thank you Ian and the team at Lookers St Helens. I am delighted with my new car.
