I hope you don’t mind me copying you in. I’ve also included the group complaints address and Callum Fullman, as I’m not certain who is best placed to assist. I apologise for casting the net a little wide, but the matter is urgent and I wanted support in making sure it reaches the right people.I purchased a VW Sharan (registration KN67 GWY) from Lookers Volkswagen Walton-on-Thames on 22 October 2024.While trying to add the vehicle to my DVLA account this evening, I discovered that I’m not recorded as the registered keeper. I’ve didnt received a V5C logbook and the green new-keeper slip wasn't handed over which suggests the keeper change may not have been processed. Additionally I was pursued by TFL for ULEZ charges and a traffic offence dated after transfer of ownership of my PX vehicle. The DVLA record currently shows that road tax expired on 1 October 2025, even though a Direct Debit has been running since 22 October 2024. I was unaware of this until tonight and, as a result, I have been driving the vehicle since 1 October believing it to be taxed. The vehicle is now recorded as untaxed, which means I cannot legally drive or keep it on the public road until this is resolved. The car is presently at Group 1 Volkswagen Sevenoaks for its MOT and service. I will be unable to recover it until the registration and tax issue has been corrected. I live in London, so this is roughly an hour’s journey each way and is causing significant disruption. The vehicle is also essential for my business. Without it, I am unable to work until the matter is resolved or I arrange an alternative vehicle.I’ve asked Callum to confirm what actions were taken at handover — specifically whether and when the change-of-keeper submission was made (online or by post).I’ll be calling the DVLA first thing tomorrow morning to confirm their position, but given the seriousness of the situation, I wanted to ensure senior colleagues were aware. The vehicle is currently off the road through no fault of my own, and I need clarity on what was submitted so this can be rectified quickly.Once the registration matter is clarified, I would also like to revisit a few other outstanding items from the sale, but my immediate priority is confirming who DVLA currently lists as the registered keeper so the vehicle can be taxed and returned to lawful use. Many thanks for your attention — I appreciate your help in resolving this swiftly.

Hi my wife Bernice Fitzgerald brought a 75 plate t-roc registration number LG75YFZ from lookers Walton on Thames and collected it from the showroom on the 27/09/25 when looking over the car before we drove it away I mentioned to the salesman about the marks and yellow dots on the paintwork which he said to me that it was a sealant that they put on the cars and that it would dry out and disappear The spots and marks are all over the car and are still there and not disappearing as he said they would but I think he just wanted the sale My wife has paid 41k for this car which is in a bad state We would like to return the car as we are not paying any money for a car in this condition I have called the dealership and spoke to a lady who said she was the sales manager I said to her I could take it to them so they could inspect it she said I couldn’t as she was busy and asked me to send pictures in an email which I have done she also said once she had seen the pictures she would call me but I’m still waiting for that call We were willing to work with you on this but on reflection we just want to return the car we will be contacting the finance company in the morning so we can let them know we will be returning the vehicle I would appreciate a call.

Asked for someone to call me back no one did

The ManagerLookers VolkswagenEsher Rd, Hersham, Walton-on-Thames KT12 4JYGabriel Turner147 Douglas Road Surbiton, Surrey, KT6 7SDMonday 6 October 2025Dear SirRef: Black Polo LE19 BPOI purchased the above vehicle from you on Saturday 20 September (paid in full via a BACS transfer on Thursday 25 September) and agreed with Callum, the sales representative, to collect the car on Saturday 27 September. I was told it could not be collected until Tuesday 30 September because of a fault to the ‘clutch’ that required a ‘new part’. It was not until pressing further we found out it had an entirely new clutch fitted. I collected the car with my parents on Saturday 4 October and when driving it from your garage home I discovered that it was not of satisfactory quality: the vehicle would not go into gear and my Mother had to make a dangerous stop in traffic whilst she tried to put the car into any gear. We then drove the car immediately back to the dealership and after speaking to Callum it appeared the gearbox is broken too. Please can I also add that Callum reassured my parents that buying a used car from a main dealer meant that the vehicle would undergo a rigorous, multi-point check by Volkswagen technicians, ensuring quality and safety before being offered for sale. We are puzzled as to why Callum asked on Saturday 4 October if we wanted to take the vehicle for a test drive to check it was ok before it was filled with a courtesy tank of petrol? The CRA (Consumer Rights Act) 2015 requires dealers to supply goods that are fit for purpose, as described and of satisfactory quality. However, the vehicle is clearly not roadworthy. You are therefore in breach of contract.Having owned it for less than 30 days I am legally entitled to reject the vehicle and to be reimbursed the original purchase price of £12,573. I look forward to receiving your cheque for this sum within 14 days. I would also like to remind you that I have paid for insurance, road tax and various assurances from your garage (dealer accessories included in above figure. If you fail to reimburse me, I shall have no alternative but to issue a claim against you in the county court for recovery of the money without further reference to you.Yours faithfully,Gabriel Turner

HiI had a call from a colleague VW Walton, but I had family over today and I missed the call.I placed a review on google regarding an order I made for a mobility car.I spoke to a salesman to place the order for the Tayron before he left. It was a black R Line 7 seater Tayron with a sunroof.I will remove the Google review, I would just like the deposit refunded.I am due to place an order on Tuesday with VW Lookers in Slough. I want to place the order before another price increase, and I also need the car.I would like to speak to a different dealership concerning the car.

To Whom it may concernI am writing in relation to the vehicle (LF70 ODB) purchased from Lookers Volkswagen in March 2025. Since purchase, the car has been back to the garage on several occasions with ongoing issues, of which each time I was told there were no issues found, despite providing photos and videos. It has now been found that there is a blocked duct causing water ingress, which has resulted in mould growth inside the vehicle and issues with the screen. These issues are serious, making the vehicle unsafe and unsatisfactory, and clearly demonstrate that the car was not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose and not as described at time of sale.Under the consumer rights act of 2015, as I raised the issues many times within the first six months of ownership, I am entitled to reject the vehicle and receive a refund. The law presumes the fault was present at the time of purchase unless the dealer can prove otherwise.Accordingly, I am formally exercising my right to reject the vehicle. I request a full refund of deposit and any further payments made. I have also contacted the garage directly with the same request. Please confirm within 14 days how and when you will arrange for the return of the vehicle and the refund. If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will have no option but to escalate this matter to Citizens Advice, Trading Standards, the Motor Ombudsman and pursue through the small claims court if necessary.I hope you will resolve this matter swiftly and without the need for further action.Kind regardsRea Walshe

Professional but for one important thing, the car was listed as a 4 motion but in fact is was a 2 WD car. As I wanted a 4WD I took it no further. Pity as Lookers gave me confidence in every other aspect.

We made an offer for a 72 plate through the Volkswagen uk website, however this information was unfortunately not passed onto the sales person that phoned us from the Lookers Walton On Thames branch.
