I was offered a manual courtesy car, but when the day came, only automatics were available. I haven't driven an automatic car for decades, and felt nervous about driving someone else's, especially one with a lot of animated displays, and screens for apparently everything ! My car is old, and very basic ... A pleasant young man was provided to drive me home and pick me up again when my car was ready.I always feel looked after well.I brought my car in because I was afraid the brakes were binding, something which had also been noticed by a rare back seat passenger.The technician could not find a problem, and took the car out for a road test, again being satisfied that there wasn't a problem.He also alerted me to a couple of things to keep an eye on, and reminded me of a job I shall be booking my car in for in the new year.
