The Lookers dealership was excellent but badly let down by the VW helpline. They said that they had arranged for the dealership to resolve a software connection problem and had sent them an email explaining the fir. However the dealership said that they had not got the email and that it would be sometime before they would be able to do the fix as they were awaiting advice. Thus I wasted 45 minute drive each way and collected the car without any solution. I now await a call for a new appointment when the car should have been sorted the first time. Lookers good, VW helpline abysmal.

Your workshop corrected the information on the panel in the middle of the steering wheel from stating the oil temperatures as the car is driven, to one giving changes in mph.Annoyingly the most useful mph readings had disappeared overnight a week or so later, to be replaced with the running oil temperatures which are alarming and not needed.Can the mph reading be made permanent?
