I found staff helpful and well informed

I agreed to purchase a Volkswagen Touareg from Lookers Volkswagen Preston. The official documents and advertisement stated the mileage was 2,000 miles. However, just before delivery, I was informed the actual mileage was 4,481 miles. The explanation given was that mileage is only updated monthly, the car was being driven by the head accountant, and in one month it had accumulated an extra 2,500 miles.I paid £59,700 for this car specifically because it was advertised and documented at 2,000 miles. If I had known the true mileage was 4,481 miles, I would never have agreed to pay this price. Comparable cars with 4,500–5,000 miles are advertised around £54,000–£55,000. If I had wanted a 4,500–5,000 mile car, I could have purchased one for much less.I trusted the information provided because this is an official Volkswagen dealership. The result is misleading and incorrect information being given to me, which has affected my decision. The compensation offered (£250–£500) does not reflect the real difference in value. The dealership then said I could cancel the sale and receive my money back, but so far my refund has not been processed. This is unacceptable, especially considering that when I purchased the car I transferred the payment on the same day.I also requested delivery last week (Friday or Saturday), but I was told the car could only be delivered on Monday. It now seems this delay was because the accountant was still using the car and they could not provide me with the vehicle sooner. Finally, I must question the practice of using cars that are actively advertised for sale as demonstrator or staff vehicles. Allowing employees to add thousands of miles to a car already on the market is unreasonable and misleading for customers.I expect either a fair adjustment to the price or a full refund of my deposit without delay. Otherwise, I will escalate this matter directly to Volkswagen UK for further review.

No one contacted me

Purchased vehicle end of June smell fuel in the cabin on a cold start. The vehicle has been back 3 times and they are unable to to find the fault. Cust paid for diag, there are other faults in the vehicle.Engine has a fault, sat nav keeps cutting out also electrics. Cust spoke with Dan who advised him that he coudl take it elsewhere.

I can in to see David Weir on 2/9 to discuss the possible purchase of a new Tiguan. He located a white one but not quite the right spec - I was undecided but was persuaded to pay a £100 refundable deposit - no paperwork was signed. I then decided not to proceed and telephoned David to explain and he asked me to put in writing which I did on 4/9. I still haven’t received the refund despite being reassured on 12/9 that it had been processed. I have telephoned twice since but haven’t been able to speak to David and n received no return phone call. Can you advise when the refund will be received please?

We had a test drive , discussed the deal, and the details of the car were explained thoroughly. All in all it was a good experience. We didn’t opt for the car because found an alternative that better fitted our needs.
