Really fast contact after sending initial enquiry. However, it would be really helpful if you updated the VW Used Car section of your website when a car is sold.

Sales man answered all questions and courteous.

I was happy with salesman. Helpful and not pushy. I have bought from this garage a couple of times previously so I trusted themOn Mon, 27 Oct 2025, 12:02 Volkswagen Teesside,

Following heavy rain overnight I have checked my vehicle to find water is leaking into the boot again. I suspected this might happen and had left a newspaper in the boots, it's soaking wet. There was a leak before, which was supposed to have been remedied last week (21/10/25) by you under warranty.I've attached 2 photos to this email showing moisture in the boot and the other showing the grommet (?) is not fully in contact with the bodywork there being a gap.To say I'm annoyed would be an understatement. The vehicle is supposed to be a quality car and I find it hard to believe that such a problem should exist.I would like to ask you what you intend to do regarding rectifying things.Richard Steer,

Hello !! Im really happy with my new car !! First of all jack is really easy going but very professional !! Feel relaxed when discussing a deal !! Hes very friendly happy go lucky & very helpful !! Thanku jack see u soon !!!

My complaint is with lookers Teesside service department.

I took delivery of my VW ID4 GTX in June / July 2023 and generally have been impressed with it. In late September 2023, I had an emergency visit to the vets and on leaving, I was making a 3 point turn and caught the front skirt on a high kerb stone, and as I pulled away caused a crack. 24mm longI didn’t observe any subsequent negative effect from it.In July 2025, the car had to go to Lookers, Cannon Park, Middlesbrough for its service. Despite the crack, no issue was mentioned. On receipt of the car post service, I started seeing an error on the dash, “ Error: Dynamic cornering light”I initially phoned Lookers and spoke to a “ call centre” and requested it booked in under warranty. The chap I spoke to was rude and blunt and said they couldn’t check the vehicle without a approx. £150 charge being applied. Warranty wouldn’t cover.Subsequently, I then spoke to a lady a VW Lookers Cannon Park who said the chap was completely wrong and it was just a call centre handling inquiries. The car was Booked in, with courtesy car given and they had it for three days. When I collected it, the car was in the exact same space of the 50+ customer car park and from a jumper left on the drivers seat, looked like it had never been moved.I spoke to the lady on reception and was told they couldn’t repair it because the car was dirty, there was residue on the window and too dirty for a technician to get in the vehicle. She added that they wouldn’t look at it under warranty due to the crack in the skirt as the issue would be a consequence of the impact. How did they know this without proper examination / inspection ?Outside, a different lady spoke to me about the issue and she also added that I should be ashamed of the car, did my boss know what state the car was in and how I used it??I explained the marks on the rear windows were from my five spaniels, ie when wet and tail swings causing the water marks on the windows. I explained, I didn’t have a boss as I owned the chemical company and started it my self in 1998.The final impression I received from them was they wouldn’t look at the vehicle properly as not under warranty due to the damage / crack in the skirt and the light issue was degradation from the impact. The car was received and for just over two years post impact, no issue observed. The car was serviced by Lookers and literally within days, the error message started showing on the dash.If they had attempted to repair and conclusively found the issue was the impact, then yes I would have paid the £150 but the issue is I wasn’t given a choice.I was insulted by staff as being devious and treating company / my employers property without the care and cleanliness VW expect.Given Lookers refused to examine the issue properly / thoroughly, what is my next step? Please register as a complaint.Since the “ examination “ of the error, I asked an associate, a mechanic, ( or a technician in Lookers speak ) to run a diagnostic check and the printout is attached. His opinion was there was an issue with the car, he stated it should have been picked up at the service if it was done correctly, but his opinion was its too complex an issue to be the consequence of a 3mph walking pace bump in an area that wouldn’t produce the errors listed. He also added the timeline was too not aligned and the fact the issue arose within a week of the service, suggests that as a cause should have been examined first, given the readout errosTherefore, can you suggest a route forward or do I have to return to the lease company and refuse to pay till its fixed? As said, if it was examined and conclusely was the impact I would pay the £150 however I feel this has become a devious, dishonest avoidance technique.

Hello, I would like to make a complaint in regard to my recent finance agreement. I recently exchanged my vehicle and set up a new finance agreement and, I was made to believe that my settlement agreement had been paid. I now have my new vehicle and I had noticed that the settlement payment was due to come out of my bank account even though I was made to believe that this had already been solved with the car dealership. From noticing this, I have been back and forth with ringing the Volkswagen finance team and the car dealership team. However, I had spoken with several different professionals from the Volkswagen finance team and they made me aware that they have not had any conversations with the car dealership team in regard to my previous vehicle settlement figure and, they had made me aware that this had not been paid. I then went back to the car dealership team and they informed me that they had spoken with the finance team and they had paid the settlement fee and not to worry. I rang back the car finance team and they again said that they had not spoken with anybody from the car dealership team and by this point, I felt really worried given that the settlement figure is still showing to be coming out of my bank. I was then provided with screen shots from the man who made a deal with me when exchanging my vehicle showing notes that there had been discussions around my finance settlement figure however, due to this being missed, it had been sent manually. But I have been going back and forth all day with the car dealership team and the finance team and I believe that this is totally unacceptable and, I should not have had to do this given that I was not at fault and it is not within my job role to solve this issue and this should have been professionally dealt with between the car finance team and the car dealership team. I was advised from the finance team for the dealership team to contact their customer service team so they were able to gain some clarity as to what had been done given that there had been no notes on their system but this is something that has not been done and I am still no further on with this matter. I do not know who is at fault between the car dealership team or the car finance team however, this is not my fault and I should not have had to spend my whole day going back and forth between two professional teams who could have liaised with each other and solved this matter. Please can I have some support around this and ensure that my settlement figure is being paid as soon as possible as this is what I was made to believe over a week ago when I made a deal and traded my previous car in.
