Everything was generally very fine. I was especially pleased that significant additional work could be fitted-in. However, there was one issue that may or may not reflect on service...It was arranged to investigate failed air conditioning. The Master Technician found the condenser matrix was leaking (confirmation was shown on video), which was replaced at cost of about £800. However, the aircon is not working a few days later (I did not test it on pick-up). On calling for advice, I am advised to book the car in again to investigate the problem. And now I have to wait a couple of weeks. (Presumably, we will find a second, but unrelated, failure, so it would not have been unreasonable to conclude that finding the leaking matrix would cure the problem and investigation went no further. All will become clear in due course...).

I now gather that Tiguan owners with the glass sunroof are now being advised to have the drain pipes checked and cleared . No advice was ever offered to me and had I received the appropriate warning I would have been spared a very expensive repair . I feel VW , if not Lookers , have some responsiblity here .

I received a call from some central reservation system and was told an appointment had been booked for me but when I got to the garage no-one was aware of the booking. I understand that the information only arrived some considerable time after I had arrived.

Callum Fullman the Sales Executive was brilliant throughout the 2years and 2 months of waiting for my new car. Kept me posted and was very very helpful.
