Encouraged us to come and see vehicle quickly but nothing indicated to us about the damage before we came or on arrival. We had to point out the obvious scrape on the door and damaged interior.

I purchased a Lookers 'Select Volvo XC 90 (first reg Oct 2021) on 31st Jan 2026. This was advertised as a one owner vehicle with a Lookers 12 month warranty.On Sunday 22nd Feb the vehicle came up with 'coolant level low, please stop' which I did adding about 3 litres of water that I already had in the vehicle (kept in vehicle for the dogs).Monday 23rd Feb vehicle returned to Lookers, Colchester.Thursday 26th Feb I went into the dealer as I had heard nothing and was informed that it was suspected there was an issue with the head gasket, but the engine had to be stripped to be sure and was provided with a V60 as a courtesy vehicle.Monday 2nd March I went into the dealer asking for an update and was told the warranty company required further informationMonday 9th March I went into the dealer asking for an update and was told the warranty company was sending somebody to examine the engine as a new engine was now required.Monday 16th March I went into the dealer asking for an update and was told they were waiting for the warranty company to give the go ahead.Monday 23rd I went into the dealer and was told they were still waiting on the warranty company and that the business manager was now involved.My complaint is -1. That having spent £30,00 on a vehicle, I do not expect the vehicle to have spent more time back at the dealer than I have use of it. I had it for 3 weeks and it has been in Lookers workshop now for 4 weeks and nothing appears to have been done to rectify the issue.2. It was advertised as a 'Select' vehicle with a 12 months warranty which implied the warranty is with Lookers, but it appears that the warranty is with an outside company who it seems Lookers are having difficulty dealing with. I expect Lookers to fix the vehicle.3. I did in fact trade in a very nice V60 for the XC90, only changing vehicles because we now have 3 dogs which did not really fit comfortably in the V60. So having a V60 as a courtesy car for at present 4 weeks (and who knows for how much longer) does not meet my needs.4. We had planned1 weekend and a further 5 days away in the the caravan (I had a towbar on my original V60 and had one fitted to the XC90 as part of the purchase). The courtesy V60 did not have a tow bar and Lookers said they were unable to provide one with a tow bar. This has i caused me considerable expanse on one occasion having to stay in a Travel Lodge and a great deal of travelling backwards & forwards on the other occasion.5. Nobody appears to be able to give me any idea as to how long my XC90 is going sit at the Lookers workshop.This is not the service I expect from Lookers or a Volvo dealer, having had 3 other Volvos in the past and indeed having dealt with Lookers on 4 previous occasions (one when I purchased a Renault from Lookers)

I believe I'm wasting my time doing this, as I'm still waiting for a reply from February...I think I'm being fobbed off by the sales manager regarding my issues with the sale of the car I bought OV69SXMWho can I contact???

Friendly and helpful personnel. Answered all my questions. Allowed me to experience a similar vehicle to the one in which I had an interest.

I dealt with Sam Green right from my initial contact- what a great guy! He was accommodating and explained the whole process of buying a Volvo. The test drive was relaxed and informative. A really great experience. Unfortunately this time around, my other half had the final say and we didn't proceed with a Volvo, however in the future, I am keen to explore the brand again & Sam/Lookers will be my first port of call.

My service was booked for Monday 9/3 with vehicle collection. I received a call at 10.25 to say that they were unable to collect due to the courier being stuck on the A12 due to an accident. I accept that this could not be helped. The service was rearranged for Wednesday 11/3. The person I spoke to said he would be passing my house at 7.30 and would collect the car. I said that would be OK as I had a work call at 8.30. At 8.18 I called to ask whether my car was being collected and they said he was 5 minutes away. He arrived just in time to not disturb my work call. At 15.45 I tried calling to see what was happening as I'd not had any communication but when I pressed the number for the service department all I got was a message saying that my call could not be answered. I had to ring back and select the option for the call centre and they got someone from the service department to talk to me. I was advised that my car was finished and was currently being washed and I subsequently made payment. The car was dropped off but it has not been washed as promised. All in all, this experience has been horrible and I am paying a premium for what I would expect to be a premium service. I would receive better customer care from my local garage at half the price.

Please help,I had the warranty for 2 weeks and sadly crashed my vehicle and was iniured and car was wrote off. Spoke to lookers and said they would cancel it however bumper has still taken money from direct debit. I have not got the car after 2 weeks ownership so please can you help. They have said thisWe would like to clarify that your Bumper payment plan is still active, and there remains an outstanding balance of £599.20 on your account.If your policy with Lookers Volvo Colchester has been cancelled, we kindly ask them to confirm how the remaining balance will be settled. Specifically, they will need to advise one of the following:Will Lookers Volvo Colchester settle the outstanding balance on your behalf?Will they issue a pro‑rata refund to you, which you will then use to settle the Bumper payment plan?Or do they intend to cancel the Bumper payment plan directly?Please can this be cancelled as i have no car, no apr is on the finance so please help as i have a 11month baby. Sam from colchester was very helpful but please help cancel this as ill be paying over £600 for no reason

vehicle went in workshop 26.02 the cust has called on several occasions and not getting anything back from the dealership. The cust has had to hire a vehicle and is not happy that he keeps getting back to the end of the que, can this be investigated. Cust wasnt advised by volvo assist that he would be booked in and had to wait for that appointment. The cust had an appointment anyway for the 5th March but nothing seems to have happened.

Terrible, got initially responded to but told they would pass my enquiry on. No one ever left a message or sent an email. I phoned again as I was keen to buy a car, no one ever followed up, consequently bought a different car elsewhere. Very disappointed.
