Bought my car off the show room & from Volvo to get the good aftercare/service they have a reputation for…BUT…I’m not getting it!1.To have to ring Scotland to book in & have lengthy details harvested is not user friendly.2.To be told it’s £225 to look at the car is ridiculous after years of popping into garages & having someone look at the problem.3. To be told that the seat belts jam from dirt, way below where it is possible to valet & it will cost £800 to fix-is simply insane. When did Volvo stop being a caring company & when did aVolvo stop being a country car?It has been over 2 weeks since I placed my last complaint & have had no reply.why?

This is my second complaint about lookers Stockport Volvo where my car had issues and the team have shown the worst customer service anx used my car for perosnal pleasure where they have admitted they took the car to pub. The team had shown zero good customer service where I emailed them and they didn’t even bother to relply but I think this is something run among all of you as I have complaint about you and you didn’t respond and this proof my points actually that you have extremely poor customer service. So while my car was at lookers for repair the car wasn’t kept at lookers premises and was used to drive around going to pub and other location and all that happened after working hours and without my permission. Lookers Stockport had refused to give repair report and when Motability confront them with evidence they apologised but this isn’t enough. I am returning my Volvo becaus simply lookers Stockport have made me hate everything about the car due to their poor customer service and zero business ethics. Previous ticket number 84180354

I was unable to drive the vehicle I was interested in as it had a flat battery. I drove a similar vehicle which I liked. However based on the part exchange price offered I left insulted. I have been offered a couple of hundred pounds more but it’s still below the value of a similar car in poor condition. So for the sake of £300-£400 you have lost the sale.

I was worried about my front tyre depth and brought my car to Lookers Stockport in August 2025 to have it looked at. The car is under a hire agreement with Volvo UK and all wear and tear is covered.Lookers told me that the tyre had >3mm thread which meant they couldn't be changed under my Volvo UK agreementLess than 4 months later (2nd December) I took my car in for MOT and tyre check. The MOT failed because of a cut on the tyre, nearside front, that has a depth of 2.3mm. I had to pay for this tyre replacement as it was not covered under wear and tear. I do not believe the tyre would have worn from >3mm to 2.3mm in 4 months with ~2000 miles driven. I think this tyre should have been replaced under wear and tearIn addition, the vehicle health check showed another tyre, offside front, to be 2.5mm so Lookers said thsi would be changed under Volvo UK agreement. When I went to pick up the car I was told that the actual thread was >3mm and so wouldn't need to be changed. Apparently an apprentice had done the depth and when checked it was shown to be an incorrect reading. I complained that this was very dodgy and that the VHC showed the senior mechanic measuring the thread at 2.5mm. This tyre was then changedThis was completely unacceptable, to be misled like this. I dont know if i was deliberately lied to or whether this was a genuine mistake, but it leaves a very bad impression. I also believe that the nearside front should have been changed in August - I find it hard to believe that it wore down so much in 4 months, causing a cut that meant I had to pay for tyre replacement

The young lady I spoke to was very helpful. The issue was with choice. The colours that used to be available were good the present ones are very restricted. The leather choice is limited to two colours. The choice to have different things added to the model is also now very restrictive.I have to consider looking at a different car maker which I very much did NOT want to do.
