The enquiry was dealt with by Lookers contact centre citing themselves as the local dealer. They took my enquiry, couldnt tell me what car was available for driving and said that 24hrs before someone would call and confirm car type. Although I couldnt book the time I wanted because the 'unknown' car was already being used. The dealer 'Rob' was great but confirmed that no request had been passed to the local dealer and apologised on Lookers behalf

Unfortunately, it appears that after the service the screws attaching the tray under my car were not screwed on properly. As a result, whilst following other cars through a PUDDLE the car started to make a noise and I pulled over. The tray under the car was flapping down. With the help of a passer-by, we clipped the tray back up and as I was in Shalford, I drove to the Škoda garage. A very helpful young lady drove the car round to the service area then returned and said it needed a new screw but Škoda would have to charge me £200. I drove away and as soon as I turned onto the A218 towards Horsham it fell down again and I had to pull over. I was left stranded at the side of the road had to call the AA. As soon as the service man arrived, he asked if it had been for a service recently. I told him to was serviced 10 days ago and he said that this happens a lot when the screws haven’t been tightened up. He removed the tray, the rear screws came down when he pulled at them, and advised me to return to the garage and have it replaced properly. As I do not want to drive around without the tray on my car I will return after work tomorrow to resolve this matter.Kind regardsAlison Pitt

I purchased a Skoda Fabia collected on Friday 21 November 2025. It was noted at the time that the locking wheel nut was missing . I was promised a new one. Nearly 2 months later I am still waiting. I phone and e-mail, leave messages, but nobody ever contacts me to let me know what the delay is. It is always me having to chase for information.

You gave me a very poor part exchange quote for my car then increased the price of the car I was interested in buying by £470 in online adverts a couple of days after my enquiry……

Your central online sales team never came back with the specific details requested of the cars previous service history when asked if it was with a main dealer -just full service history which could be anywhere. I therefore phoned the garage directly and spoke with Ish and he said he would take a video and send me the service history the next morning and nothing arrived! I subsequently rang for him a day or so later and he asked who it was and subsequently put the phone down. I rang a day later and he did the same thing. I therefore have a very poor experience of what is a Skoda main dealer and certainly one that is both rude and unable to supply the information that should have been on hand especially as that garage had also taken the car in as a part exchange. I feel they only wanted to sell the car to a local person and not to deliver which would have been a lot quicker than waiting a week or two to sell to a local person.
