Thanks in advance for reading this. For context, I bought this vehicle second hand from a Vertu Silverlink near Newcastle in May 2024, and have a warranty with them (Vertu) until June 2026.In December 2025, my front parking sensors suddenly stopped working, with a grey line very close to the front left inner sensor as displayed, and an error saying to clean it. I cleaned it until spotless but unfortunately the error persisted. Vertu said this error was covered under warranty but it was required to go to Skoda to be fixed. The 3 other front parking sensors weren't displaying any grey line.Unfortunately I've had nothing but bother and inconvenience with the Lookers Skoda Newcastle dealership - I took it in first for a diagnostic, which came back as saying the front bumper "had been painted" and that all 4 sensors required replacing: I have not had an accident or any body work since purchasing the car, and the front parking sensors worked absolutely fine for the previous 18 months of ownership. I also had 3 members of staff vehemently tell me the parking sensors weren't covered under warranty, despite my warranty not even being issued by Skoda, something which I had to repeatedly tell them.Vertu require an estimate to be approved and the costs claimed back for repair, so I booked it in for the front left inner sensor to be replaced (as per the display in the vehicle), after Skoda provided an estimate of £255. Skoda Newcastle then subsequently "replaced" a "front parking sensor" (without specifying which one) - however the outside face of the front left inner sensor looks exactly the same as it did before (but I'm unsure if this part looks different or if the whole component is replaced or just a part?).I really am at a loss about what to do next - I've paid £255 for the work to be completed, but I'm still left with the car having the parking sensor error and Vertu saying they won't reimburse until the issue has been completed. I have absolutely no faith that if the other 3 sensors are replaced that the error will go away, and I've been quoted nearly £1000 for this work to be completed.Essentially, the car is under warranty with Vertu who have referred me to Skoda, and I need Skoda to fix this issue please.Very happy to discuss this over the phone, please don't hesitate to contact me! I can provide photographs of the front parking sensors at your request. Again, many thanks for reading this and any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.

Really helpful and patient member of staff - Paul Jobling. We appreciated that we had the freedom to do a test drive on our own.(Pity there wasn't a wider range of used Karoqs available to view/test drive or we probably would have bought one.)
