To whom it may concern,I had a very positive recent experience at SKODA & KIA Newcastle on Railway Street that I'd like to commend Coral Winship for.My 2009 Octavia had ABS and Traction Control warning lights come on one day, so I booked it in for a diagnostic and repair at this dealership and service centre. I understand that it's almost impossible to diagnose these faults immediately so I was prepared to wait a few days.Coral went above and beyond to contact me and let me know the technician required additional diagnostic time, and forwarded the required approval to me straight away so that work could continue. When the fault was identified, she rang back straight away to let me know what the fault was, timescales for parts, as well as approximate cost of labour and fitting. She then offered a courtesy car for the duration - which I was grateful for, but declined as I was prepared to do without the car for a few days. I thought it was particularly thoughtful of her to consider my situation and offer it in the first place, and I appreciated her consideration greatly.When the repair was completed she contacted me again and advised the car was ready to collect. Throughout, Coral was professional, considerate and polite, and I was surprised by the effort she went to and consideration for my circumstances.I've been taking my Octavia to this dealership for annual service and occasional repairs since around 2012, and the most recent experience was a standout among all of them. While all the staff I've spoken to in the past have been professional and diligent, Coral's efforts on this occasion have been much appreciated.Many Thanks,Mr Kiel Milkins

Good customer service.

The car was booked in on 12th July for the first available appointment to have two recall notices attended to. The first appointment was 8th September and I was told it could take 2 days to undertake the work. I felt that this was a long time, however, I was just relieved that it was going to be put right as some of the errors in my opinion meant that the car was a risk to drive. On the morning of Friday 5th September after having completed all the pre-booking information I received a phone call to tell me that the garage did not have time to complete the recall notices the following week and that it would have to be booked in for another date. The first date that I could be given was 20th October, which I felt was unacceptable but was told that there was no choice. I had to drive on the 19th September to the other end of the country and felt it was not safe to do so with the errors that were occuring with the car. At this point in time, I felt like a second class citizen - that I could just be palmed off and just given another date that was over a month away. Please note that I will be cancelling the appointment on 20th October, as another Skoda dealer has done the updates in a more timely manner and I will never consider coming back to Lookers not just for servicing but for a new vehicle.

Kieran was really helpful as we were not sure what car we were looking for between Karoq and kamiq . After a look around and a test drive of an automatic, this helped us decide which car suited us. Though not quite ready to make a purchase at this moment, we will be returning in the near future to hopefully buy are next family car. Thank you for your help and support Keiran .
