Lack of a ramp in eastside parking area is very high on my list of necessary safety requirement. The clubhouse exterior doors require handicapped access buttons, those doors are very heavy and difficult to open for residents/visitors using walkers, wheelchairs. scooters or arthritis in fingers/hands. The building was constructed with inexpensive fixtures/finishes such as no grab bars in the bathrooms, this is not age related but safety related, very very low toilets, fixed showers no handheld option, barely one coat of paint on the walls and as a pet owner I would prefer no carpet in the apt. I rarely attend any of the social programs held in the Bistro due to the acoustics when it's a full room I cannot decipher anything being said with or without hearing aids. I do enjoy the friends I have made over the past year, love the location of Mera and my apartment, overall it was the right move for me. I understand that Mera Chandler was probably constructed after Covid and construction was difficult with everything in short supply - workers and supplies and I suppose in many instances they had to make do with whatever was available but now the investors/owners seem to be expecting the tenants to improve the units with upgrades etc. No where is perfect and I am content and after almost a year at Mera feel that I made the right choice to sell the house and relocate to a 55+ community. I socialize as I want to with smaller groups and will attend functions in the Bistro if it is something meaningful to me even if I can't fully hear what is being said. Thank you for listening and most of this you can't do anything about and overall I am content and pleased with the move to Mera.

need to have handicap parking and ramp on the east side of the building also button to open the doors to the building. You have more residents who have walkers or scooters

I signed my lease two plus weeks before I moved anything in the apartment. It was close to September 1st before my furniture arrived. I did not realize that the first morning light in my bedroom was going to be so bright. The blinds do their best but I don't think I can put anything on the window to keep the light out especially when it will be coming soon just a little after 5:00 a.m. I love my apartment but if I had realized the morning light, I may have picked a different direct to be facing.

Overall experience has been great. Staff here are outstanding (Scott, Ellie, Lindsay, etc.) - extremely competent and personable. LOVE the pool. Fitness room, library, community spaces are very well done. Appreciate that pool and pickleball courts have dawn to dusk hours. We've met some really good people/neighbors.Unit has some VERY minor aesthetic issues (dent in refrigerator door, welts and bumps on flooring, vents that aren't symmetrical, protruding carpet tacks) that we didn't really notice until we moved in. Nothing that would be considered a deal breaker, or that can't perhaps be corrected.Again, overall experience has been absolutely positive. Still settling in.

The scent machine on our first floor is so over powering. I have asthma and the smell comes into our apartment every time we open our door. If you could turn it down we would be very grateful.
