I really love living at Mera HendersonThrough much observations, I have noticed the Mera Team goes out of their way to keep a very clean, a safe secure environment, keeping everyone peaceful and happy and by also having these great amenities programs. I’m pretty easy going. Takes a lot to upset me. Not a technical person. Don’t like the new gate system. Would just like to be able to tell staff if I need something done. My DIL does all my computer things. She pays my rent. Calls me because I get a # then have to send it to her. Before she could just pay it. New system again. Old people don’t like change. I’m very happy here. I do so much with family. Do activities as I can here. I will be updating my lease here.

This is the first time I'm renting an apartment. I always owned a home when I was married for forty-eight years. I always lived on the east coast of the United States until my husband died in 2021. I moved out to Nevada because my sister and brother-in-law live in Henderson about ten minutes away. They were the ones who introduced me to Mera. Also all three of my children and their families live on the west coast. I love the apartment (Sapphire) I've been renting (just hope the rent for everything - apartment, garage and storage closet remain the same). If something has to be repaired (A/C) or replaced (fridge filter, fire alarm), it's always done in a timely manner. I've met wonderful women who became good friends. I play Mahjong twice a week and sometimes Rummy Q. Mera is conveniently located for doctor appointments, restaurants, grocery stores, etc.Mera Henderson is advertised as a 55+ Active Adult Community, but I've noticed more disabled people in wheelchairs and using walkers to get around. As an example, the Mahjong group who I play with now has a difficult situation dealing with a woman who has early stages of dementia. She comes weekly, but doesn't realize she no longer understands the rules of the game. Therefore, it's difficult for the rest of us to actually play. We are supporting her for 3 hours. We tried to help her to no avail. Because of this, it's no longer an enjoyable afternoon activity.

Living room carpet needed replacement at 1st move in. Door blind not replaced. Chip in bathroom tile not repaired.

I know my past credit is not good. I do not have any bills now. My husband was hospitalized for 9 mos in 2013. I spent the next 13 years caring for him, having to make hard decisions, moving to affordable and ADA accessible housing, some times breaking leases, his power wheelchair damaged walls - which were fixable. I always paid large deposits to cover the costs, some times not enough. He passed 2 years ago and I am trying to make a new life for myself. Will you please reconsider leasing me an apartment.? I love the place. I can also put a higher deposit down if that would work. I beg you to please reconsider leasing to me. Thank you , Michele Weber
