Efficient and high level of service received

When the vehicle was in for works to be carried out over a 48hr period I had a loan car. The representative was very helpful and knew that I needed the car for my Volunteer Driving that I undertake. Irrespective of who was likely to be in the car ..the car I was given had not been sanitised/cleaned at all. ASAP for my own use and before I could take my first Visually impaired person to a medical apt. I had to hoover and wipe clean handles/dashboard dust/door frames and footwell areas of dirt. There was also paper receipts in the glove compartment from tesco's so I knew the car had been to Lewes Tesco!! The central console had grease marks which I was not prepared to attempt to clear I merely ensured that I had used an appropriate wipe to safeguard not only myself and husband but any vulnerable person I was transporting. There were crumbs of food in the creases of the drivers seat and back seat and a glove under the front passenger seat. The boot ....I despaired and closed it quickly and didn't touch it as I knew that for the period of time I had the car I would not need to place anything in it. Given the present environmental issues we are all having to experience I would have expected some effort to have been made. I was very disappointed regarding this aspect when everything else had been the usual high standard.

At the time of the service, I was offered a new tyre to replace one that was getting low. Fair enough but the price I was quoted was £204. On consulting my local tyre dealer, he said that there was about 1000 miles left of life. I did decide to change the tyre and was charged £144 like for like. Probably I would have expected to pay more at Mercedes but £60 per tyre!!!!When the tyre was changed, the tyre dealer picked up that the jacking point was missing on one side. Probably due to a pothole. Not noticed on service.!!

Ad Blu top up is included in the service. This did not appear to have been done as the reservoir was not full.

Everyone involved in arranging for my car to be repaired was extremely helpful and informative and I will certainly continue to use Lookers in the future.

Collection and return of vehicle timely and helpful; information about and documentation for work undertaken first class. There remains a minor fault which no one can trace apart from which no complaints.
