I have been looking for a Mercedes E Class estate and found one by searching on the Mercedes-Benz website. Unfortunately I live in the north of England and seriously considered travelling down to Eastbourne to view one that Lookers have in stock. I spoke to Ru on a couple of occasions and found him to be very helpful during our telephone conversation. I narrowed my search down to three vehicles and, as it happens, I decided to buy the first one that I saw. This was solely because it had a better specification than the one in Eastbourne and in no way does this reflect on Ru who was excellent throughout.

Too many follow up phone calls after telling previous caller that I would be back in touch.I was called at 6 pm which wasn’t an issue and told the caller I had a couple of other cars I was looking at and would get back in touch if they didn’t work out.By 9.30 am next day they were back on the phone which felt pushy and decided to go ahead with another dealership .

I sent a very specific question about a car - instead of replying I got a sales pitch, disregarding my query.

Dear Sir or Madam,I am writing to express my disappointment following a recent visit to your dealership. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect the level of service and professionalism I have come to expect from the Mercedes-Benz brand.From the moment I arrived, I found the atmosphere to be unwelcoming. The showroom itself was surprisingly uninspiring for a Mercedes dealership, and I struggled to locate the parts department due to a lack of clear signage or helpful staff. When I eventually reached the correct area, the environment there was equally uninviting.There was no receptionist available to assist me; instead, I had to wait while the receptionist was making tea. During this time, I was ignored by the sales staff, none of whom made any effort to acknowledge or assist me. This lack of courtesy and professionalism was disappointing and left me with a very poor impression of your dealership.I had been considering purchasing a new Mercedes early next year to mark my retirement, but after this experience, I will be avoiding your branch and exploring other dealerships instead.I hope you take this feedback seriously, as the service I received does not reflect the high standards associated with the Mercedes-Benz brand.Chris Birch

HiI was genuinely interested in an E class estate car on you forecourt , however I was very disappointed with the price quoted on my GLE as a trade in, so at the moment we have decided to keep it unless we happen to stumble on a crazy deal for one, colour is not too much of an issue but would prefer silver , gun metal grey or black.Finally , many years ago my company sold Mercedes in Eastbourne some great hessian shopping bags which you gave out with every car sold.They are so hard wearing that we still have one here in my office , a bit battered but still usable fourteen years later and used every week to promote your brand.How about doing a deal with these ?RegardsTonyTony JordanWriteaway Promotional Products & Badgemate UK

They contacted me (Ru) to say that they wanted to value my vehicle but despite my vehicle being serviced at the dealership on 20 October the salesman failed to follow this up. BMW here I come !!
