I brought my car into the garage for its MOT on Wednesday using the drop and go option. I was told I’d be given a call when my car was ready. As I live half an hour away, and closing time was approaching and I had not heard, I made my way in. I had a missed call at 4.45. Whilst expecting my car back with a passed MOT when I arrived at 5, I was told it would not pass as they couldn’t carry out the MOT as all four brake discs and pads needed replacing and the car would have failed. I was told the price was around £750 and my MOT ran out that Friday. I struggle to believe Mercedes waited until 4.00 to do my MOT to find out they could not. And if they did do the pre-MOT check before hand, why did they not call me with the issue sooner? By telling me at the end of the business day on Wednesday it gave me literally a morning on Thursday to call around for quotes, and find places with availability to book in before my MOT expired on the Friday. By their own admission, Mercedes is a lot more expensive, however I was left with no option given the poor, late communication. I can only assume it was done on purpose so I had no option to get the work done with Mercedes. Everyone at Stafford Mercedes is lovely, but this experience is really disappointing.

Car was collected and everything was done efficiently and politely.

Very dissatisfied with the clean and vacuum of the car , when I booked it the guy on the phone said it would have a good clean this was not the case , it didn’t look at all like it had been.
