When I originally rang the dealership to tell them I had the warning come up on my dashboard, I was advised to ring the Roadside Assistance. It took ages to get through to them, but the RAC came out later that evening and performed a diagnostic. The man from the RAC told me that the dealership could have done what he did remotely, which, if this was the case, would have been a lot easier, as they could have seen the problem and booked it in for repair at the same time. I also find the waiting time to get your car booked in extraordinary. They squeezed mine in for me, so I was only 9 days without a car, which I’m very grateful for, but otherwise I’d have been waiting until May.
