My E220 was brought in 24.09.25 for a warning light suggesting the rear offside wheel sensor was not taking readings, alongside a warning to top up coolant.I have paid £239.70 for Job No. 49589 but unfortunately the next day the same warning light for the same wheel sensor issue came on. I took a timestamped photo for proof and was advised by Lookers staff to bring this back in when convenient.I was told the Rear Brakes issue meant it could not be road tested and this would have to be repaired, so this was arranged for today, 01.10.25.The warning light remains and I was told by both Jack and his discussion with the manager that I would need to pay a further £200+ for a further diagnostic.If the work had addressed the deficiency or defect triggering the warning light I would not have had cause to bring the vehicle back, so I have paid £239.70 for a service that has not effectively addressed the original concern.I believe it is reasonable to inspect the vehicle free of charge to ensure that there is no deficiency or defect in the work provided, as part of a duty of care to make sure repairs provided have fully addressed the issue or resulted in further information for the customer to determine if further work an another issue is not required.I am left with the same wheel sensor issue and I would like a refund for the part and labour provided.

Opening conversationIssues reported are:-Car notification - no start in 480 miles.10 lts adblue added.Notification uncg=hanged – no start in 240 milesCar booked in for check.Car has to be put on diagnostic – cost will be £224??25/9/25 – car dropped off 08:30Issues found –Slight over fill with adblue – see video. 09:15.Call from Mercedse – bill will now be £458.MB stated that the issue may not have been found and if it happens again then take it back.RBG queried if there would then be an additional charge for repeating the diagnostic – MB stated Yes.Pay up or take car away – left feeling of bullying as no explanation of increase in cost.Friday 5:30 pm – went to collect car.Queried breakdown of increase in cost – answer came that we had to pay up in full or MB would not release the vehicle.Dealer principal advised that the workshop manager would phone to advise reason for cost increase on Monday morning (29th.)Monday afternoon – no response of any kind.Overall- You advised £224 then charged £458- You left us feeling bullied- You advised that you may not have sorted the problem- You advised that you would keep charging if the problem returned.That’s how you did.
