When booked in for a service I did not expect to be asked to pay approx £150 extra for someone to check out the electrics with which I have not been too happy. Surely these days when cars rely so much on the electrics, checking them out should be a fundamental part of the service. Its bad enough having to pay out for new batteries twice in less than 5 years, especially when the battery in my previous Mercedes lasted 9 years.

Service team were a little abrupt on the desk ie “Name” rather than what name is it pleaseIt just could have been a little more polite.Maybe it was because I wasn’t wearing a jacket and tie as I was cycling home to wait for the repair. Also the when I informed him that it was covered by warranty, as stated when I booked the appointment, I was asked did I buy it from here, yes, how long ago, etceteraI just had the feeling that the person must have missed the customer relations training day.On a positive note the fault was diagnosed quickly and rebooked to be fitted with a new part at a convenient date for me. I am looking forward to having AC again soon. And I’ll wear a suit next time!
