The MOT Certificate issued on 16/02/2022 carried an advisory note about the slight loss of oil from the rear shock absorbers. Therefore, I arranged to return the car on 23/02/2022 to have the rear shock absorbers replaced under my Mercedes extended warranty. Replacement was done in a couple of hours on Wednesday morning of 23/02 - in an example of extremely good work for which I am truly grateful.

As one would expect from a Mercedes dealership the building is modern and comfortable. Both the receptionists at reception and the service desks were extremely polite and friendly as well as providing accurate information. Having the car returned, having been washed and vacuumed, is always a bonus. An all-round pleasant experience albeit with a bill at the end.

I find the fact I have to pay £120 simply to investigate the fault extremely galling. If you are then engaged to do the rectification work then a part, or in some cases even all, of that fee should be refunded. I accept that it can take time to identify the fault, but with this fault I find it hard to accept it took a significant time to identify the root cause.
