Experience was good overall. Tommy was good to work with, as were others we interacted with. It was a very typical, run of the mill, car purchase experience where we were made to wait far longer than any of us wanted. I much prefer doing things fully online, but the platform this dealership uses for online car purchases insults you with their offered trade-in values, necessitating we switch to in-person negotiations.Attention to detail is important. We were wondering why our vehicle didn't appear in our Starlink account and found that whomever entered our info into the system gave an incorrect phone number AND an incorrect email address. This led to a phone call with Subaru to straighten things out. A hassle that could have been easily avoided if they had asked us to confirm details before committing that important information to the system.Overall, this felt more like a normal dealership experience versus evangelists of the Subaru brand. If you want to look for a good example of this, look at Flatirons Subaru. If it wasn't for Costco referring us to Mike Shaw, we honestly would have preferred going back to Flatirons.In summary, my advice:1. Ensure your people are subject matter experts on Subaru and take the time to ensure you know what you're getting and how to use it2. Focus on efficiency. It shouldn't take 3 hours to buy a car and finish paperwork.3. Focus on attention to detail. Details matter and when you get the details right, you create loyalty.

We went to Subaru about a month and a half ago to just get some ideas. We talked with Christian, and he showed us some vehicles and got some info from us to make sure he was showing us the right ones. I immediately loved the fact that he wasn't pushy. He didn't even ask for any contact info from us! He gave us his card and said "You blow up my phone when you're ready". So I did exactly that when the time was right! He got a new car close to the price of a lightly used 2024, and I fell in love! The process was so easy! And then we met with Randon for the financing part, and he was just as amazing as Christian! I highly recommend this Mike Shaw Subaru any chance I can get!
