It took multiple attempts over several months to get the service done on my car. I needed a regular service and there was a recall (software update) for my vehicle. I was told it would take 4-5 hours to do this and I didn’t have anyone to to pick me up and bring me back. I didn’t want to wait that long in the waiting area. Then, I scheduled the appointment for a Monday. I asked if I could drop my vehicle off the night before at the Dropbox and I was told I could. I drove 30 mins over with another person to pick me up and Acura was closed and the gate was locked so I couldn’t leave my vehicle. Finally, the maintenance was completed on Friday and everything went well. A few things to note. I have had Honda/Acura vehicles my entire life. I have always had them serviced at the Honda dealership. They have far superior customer service than Acura. When I make an appointment, I speak to the actually customer service person. They call me and let me know they are servicing my vehicle and if there are any issues. They call me personally when my car is ready to be picked up. I got a text from Acura. I guess that is okay but it is not superior customer service. Also, when I dropped my vehicle off on Thursday evening, it was 7:50pm. I was told they were open 8. I get there and the service door opens automatically and a person comes out and tells me they are closed and closed the door. I used the Dropbox instead. This has happened to me at Honda and they had me drive my car in and were happy to do it. I guess this is okay but it is not the superior customer service. Overall, I do not get that great feeling I get when I am greeted by the Honda customer service person or sales person. I feel like they could care less that I am there when I come to the Acura dealership. I guess that is okay but it is not superior customer service. Another small detail is that at Honda, they fill all my fluids when my car is there. Acura does not and the last time I left with my vehicle my windshield wipe fluid was empty. I guess that is okay but it is not superior customer service. However, I asked if Acura would fill my fluids and they did at this visit.

I trust this dealership to evaluate my SUV and advise me what service is and is not needed. I was honestly surprised that an oil change was the only service recommended during the visit.

Ed has been my service manager for nearly ten year. Best service and can trust him with my car and every future car even if it weren’t an Acura but it probably will be because of him alone.
