We had an enjoyable, stress-free visit to Nalley Kia. Everyone was especially nice and helpful. Our salesperson, Jamaari, was especially nice and worked extremely hard in helping us get exactly the car we wanted at a very reasonable price.

I own a 2016 Kia Optima EX, with the 2.4L engine. I am the only owner. I purchased it new. When I dropped it off at Nalley Kia for repair in June, it had been driven a total of 55, 200 miles. The reason I had the vehicle towed to Nalley for inspection, I was following the recall letter I received in 2018 regarding installation of the KSDS sensor. Kia America informed me that the purpose of the sensor was to notify me whenever it received a signal that the connecting rod bearings were failing.About 2 months ago, the Check Engine light came on my dash and the engine started losing power during acceleration. The exact symptoms Kia America stated in 2018 I would receive if the connecting rod bearings were failing.Upon inspection, Nalley Kia determined that the issue was due to the malfunctioning KSDS sensor and not the rod bearings. Nalley Kia had informed me initially that the sensor needed to be replaced, but I was later informed by Nalley that the fix for a malfunctioning sensor on this vehicle was just a software upgrade of which they performed. Prior to Nalley's inspection, I informed the service manager that based what I had read about 2016 Kia Optimas, I was under the impression that the only fix to a faulty senor was to replace it. I also informed the service manager that when they informed me that the fix was just a software update, I explained to the service manager that I had contacted Kia America regarding the faulty sensor diagnosis and was informed differently. Kia America informed me that the only fix for this matter on this particular vehicle was to only replace the sensor. The conflict of information coming directly from Kia America and Nalley has always been a great concern for me. However, I have experienced no Check Engine light since Nalley performed the software update. My experience with Nalley has been a great one. The only reason I gave them 4 and not 5 stars was due to the lack of information documented on my service receipt and the delay in receiving an updated receipt. I was told by the service manager and the technician that included in the inspection was the clearance test of the connective rod bearings I was told was performed but not documented. This was omitted on the service receipt and for my records, I wanted this information documented. The information was finally documented, however, it took a couple of days for this to happen.I do plan to continue to receive future service from Nalley.

Though I am not happy with Kia corporate for the lack of accountability when it comes to clear manufacturing defects with its cars, I was extremely satisfied with the customer service that was provided to me from Nalley Kia in Lithonia. Service rep, Jay's, customer service exceeded my expectations.
