I have felt completely sick to my stomach ever since I drove our new-to-us car on the interstate yesterday evening leaving your dealership. I hardly slept last night. Dylan Hammer gave us excellent service and did his best to make us feel comfortable. When I saw the white 2014 Dodge Journey with less than 55,000 miles on it, I was ecstatic. It looks beautiful, and the added third row of seats was a nice surprise. I drove the car around the neighborhood, going about 40-45 mph with little to no traffic. We felt the car kind of hiccup a couple of times, but my husband said that I probably just needed to give it more gas. He declined to drive it. We accepted the asking price. Then we moved to Brandon Clark who sold us a protection package with a discount. Then I got in the car and drove away. I was following my husband on the interstate. He was going about 65-70, and at times I was putting my foot all the way to the floor, trying to keep up. I knew that this Journey had a 4 cylinder engine instead of a 6 cylinder, but I had no idea what a difference that would make. (Only driving around the neighborhood was a huge injustice.) In addition, the sun was in my eyes, so I pulled down the visor. The sun was still blinding me, so I pumped up the seat. Once I got it high enough, I was just pressing the gas pedal with my toes. I wanted to move the seat forward, but the adjustment lever is in front, under my legs! I couldn't do that going 65 mph. Honestly, I was afraid, just driving down the interstate. By the time we got home, I wanted to turn around and go straight back. Frankly, I totally regret the purchase, and if there is any way for me to cancel the deal, that is what I would like to do. I kept my previous car for over 21 years; it was a 1997 Mercury Villager. It sounds absurd, but I feel like I have stepped down from my 1997 to a 2014, and that is very sad. It is a very beautiful car, with very low mileage, but it does not fit me. I will not be keeping it 21 years. In fact, I wish I had not kept it 21 hours. I know that there is somewhat of a shortage on pre-owned vehicles, and I would be glad to give mine back. If you would be willing to cancel this deal, I would be most grateful and certainly would consider purchasing another vehicle from you. Please respond. Thank you.
