The pick up and drop off service is excellent. As a mum of a 3 year old and a 5 month old it would not be easy for me to bring the car to the dealership and pick it up later, so this is invaluable for me.

We have been dealing with audi Newcastle for many years .The service we have had on each visit has always been excellent .The staff are always so polite ,helpful and professional and always keep us updated with regards to time scale the vehicle will be in the workshop.Well done .

When I booked the service and MOT I was told that there were no sit and wait appointments left even though I booked approx a month in advance. The next sit and wait was not available until 2 weeks after my MOT was due. I explained that I had no one who could collect me after dropping off the car and no one to bring me back to collect car when ready. The lady on the phone did not seem to be concerned about this but did say she would contact me if there was a sit and wait cancellation or covid rules changed about waiting. I was not contacted again before the appointment.I therefore decided to walk into Newcastle city centre whilst the service was being performed. However, when I arrived I was informed that car would not be ready until 5pm. As I was dropping car off at 10am this meant walking around the town for approx 6 hours which was ridiculous. After much protest, the receptionist said she would mention my predicament to the service manager to see if it could be ready sooner. At this point she also said that when I was finished in the town I could come back and sit and wait. I was very annoyed as I was not informed this at time of booking.I have since been contacted by Tia who was checking whether I had a 5 star service and she has apologised for the mis information. She has offered a free wash and vac at another time as I refused this hoping I could have car returned sooner (it was ready a lot sooner). She also provided me with her personal email for when I book in the future so that I do not have the same experience as I did with the call centre.I would also like to highlight that the video cam was very rushed and there was too much background noise to hear what he was saying clear,y. Maybe using a directional mic would be better.Can I also say that you should find a way of recording on the car history that a job has been performed external to Audi. I have had my cam belt renewed at a private garage but I am reminded every year that it needs to be changed when it does not. This is very annoying.

Although the resolution to the issue was carried out efficiently the reason for it is annoying to say the least. The car is less than 3 years old, 13k on the clock and had to have the brakes replaced front and back due to corrosion of the break plates, cost over £1k. Surely in this day and age there is a solution to negating this or is it simply a money making exercise on the behalf of Audi / Lookers?

When booking my car in it should be made clearer how long it may take to do the job and when it will be available for collection so that consideration can be given at that time whether this may cause a problem having regard to the car being required for other needs.
