I have been coming here since 2010 and always have had a good experience. Staff are all good and helpful on every visit I have had, my only concern is that the cost to stay here these past few years has gone up a lot, and especially in the off season with this last stay on November 24 and 25 when I paid $131.26 for two nights, then I came back on November 29 for one night and paid $80.33.Both these two stays seem over priced for this time of year, in the off season, with the weekend rate higher yet.How about a off season rate, and a seniors discount rate to help out a bit with these higher costs.

Allow monthly bookings rather than 28 day periods. As full timers we book all other parks a whole month at a time. The change here to 28 day periods is confusing in terms of payments and coordinating dates with other parks.

The cookhouse/clubhouse building is not heated. We have gone a couple of time to watch the baseball games and it is too cold to be in the building for very long.If the building was heated, this would allow people to gather and interact more, which would of course lead to it being easier to meet other campers and have activites together leading to a more pleasant stay.

Great site, great campsite overall but no organized activities whatsoever. Needs some way to meet others of like interests. Boring in the winter months.

Online reservations: you should be able to reserve the exact site you want without a lock in fee. Moreover, there should be a "site availability chart" Check out BC parks camping, or Living Forest Camp in Nanaimo for guidance. This is THE one big beef I have with the place!
