Dr Schipper was great. No complaints at all. I made a follow up appointment. When I didn’t receive any reminder phone calls/texts/email, I called the office. No appointment on the books. At first I thought that I must have put the wrong date in my calendar but I didn’t have any future appointments so I know the mistake wasn’t mine. The biggest annoyance - when the medical device rep came in to sell me arch supports, I told him that I wanted to wait to make sure I got the right size. Since my foot was still swollen, I was not sure if my shoe size would change. He left the room for about 15 minutes and returned to say that my insurance company would cover 100% of it so I agreed. I have received numerous bills from Anderson Clinic showing that my insurance company covered NOTHING. I have called Justin (or Dustin) no less than 5 times and he assured me he would take care of it, only to receive another bill. When I mentioned to Dr Schipper, he said to let him know if it wasn’t taken care of. So, at my appointment I brought the bill in. Dr Schipper asked Shane to take care of it. No fault of Shane’s but Shane came back in and said, if you can wait, he will come in. I waited 15 minutes before leaving. Shane told me that they would definitely be calling me that day. That was more than 48 hours ago and yet again, no return phone call as promised. Very dusappointing

This last visit was a big deal for me. Approved to start weight bearing. Just completed step 1/surgery 1 of a 2 step process here, with the ultimate goal being a total ankle replacement. Dr. Schipper performed three osteotomies this last surgery, extended my Fibula length, moved my heel forward and installed a wedge behind my big toe. In addition to that, he removed all hardware from my previous ORIF. I received a personal call from Dr. Schipper the afternoon I returned from surgery. My pain was managed well. The Force App that they are using worked excellent for communications. I received responses within minutes, to include several messages sent "outside normal working hours". I'm told I'm healing well, and tracking for my total ankle replacement in March. I'm also bearing weight and out of the cam boot at 8.5 weeks post op! If your on the fence about ankle replacement surgery, give Dr. Schipper's team a look. I'll be submitting another review, as an update to this one in April, with a new ankle.
