I have a benzocaine allergy which is in the topical pain reliever. Before I knew what was happening it was applied to my gum. I immediately wiped it off and didn’t have any reaction. I assume the information was in my dental record and should have been caught. I also feel patients should be informed what procedures they are to undergo. The dentist did an excellent job of explaining the extraction process, step by step.
